Experimental study on the generated pyroshock level under different amount of explosive

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of the amount of explosive on generated pyroshock of a typical igniter. In this study, pyrotechnic experiments of the igniter are performed. The output pressure is measured with a pressure transducer while acceleration data is obtained using piezoelectric accelerometers. Finally, the effects of the amount of explosive on the generated pyroshock are discussed based on results in time and frequency domain. Results show that the relation between the amount of explosive and peak pressure of typical igniter shows good agreement with Nobel-Abel equation of state (EOS). Moreover, peak acceleration and SRS both show an approximate linear growth with increased amount of explosive

SGNet: Folding Symmetrical Protein Complex with Deep Learning

Deep learning has made significant progress in protein structure prediction, advancing the development of computational biology. However, despite the high accuracy achieved in predicting single-chain structures, a significant number of large homo-oligomeric assemblies exhibit internal symmetry, posing a major challenge in structure determination. The performances of existing deep learning methods are limited since the symmetrical protein assembly usually has a long sequence, making structural computation infeasible. In addition, multiple identical subunits in symmetrical protein complex cause the issue of supervision ambiguity in label assignment, requiring a consistent structure modeling for the training. To tackle these problems, we propose a protein folding framework called SGNet to model protein-protein interactions in symmetrical assemblies. SGNet conducts feature extraction on a single subunit and generates the whole assembly using our proposed symmetry module, which largely mitigates computational problems caused by sequence length. Thanks to the elaborate design of modeling symmetry consistently, we can model all global symmetry types in quaternary protein structure prediction. Extensive experimental results on a benchmark of symmetrical protein complexes further demonstrate the effectiveness of our method

International Economic Projects as a Development Tool of BRICS

This article is devoted to the problems and prospects of economic activity of the BRICS member countries. Analyzing the national programs of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa in the field of international economic activity on the basis of a comparative method, the article provides practical measures to resolve conflicts of interests of the BRICS countries and the development of mutual understanding. The article concludes with a tendency towards the formation of a multipolar system of international relations and the growing interdependence of the BRICS countries, emphasizes the importance of economic integration and financial cooperation between these countries to protect against an unstable external environment and preserve national socio-economic development

Status and Prospects of International Cooperation within the Framework of BRICS+

Relations with international multilateral institutions and regional organizations are an important issue affecting the prospects for the development of the BRICS cooperation mechanism (a group of countries from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). Many large international organizations (economic groups / blocs) have more experience in establishing international cooperation, paying particular attention to relations with other multilateral institutions. Based on the application of this interactional format, international organizations integrate their results and decisions into global governance and the financial and economic system of the whole world.Such an approach can enhance international influence and recognition; increase the effectiveness of cooperation between member states of an organization. And as a platform for cooperation between developing countries, BRICS is an open international organization. There is currently no permanent establishment in BRICS (for example, an administrative apparatus or a functioning secretariat) for overall coordination. As expected, the space for expanding the powers and capabilities of the BRICS is quite large.Today, BRICS has created fundamental platforms for cooperation and dialogue — summit of BRICS leaders, permanent ministerial meetings, Business Forum, Business Council, BRICS Think Tank meeting, New Development Bank, BRICS Contingent Reserve Arrangement, and the “BRICS+”. The “BRICS+” is considered one of the key ways to expand the international participation of the BRICS. Under the auspices of the “BRICS+”, leaders of countries and organizations of the region where the summit is held are invited to participate in the BRICS summit. This article discusses the theoretical foundations and practical significance of the efforts of the BRICS countries to expand the international influence of the organization through the development of “BRICS+”, “BRICS- Outreach” within the framework of creating an open platform for discussing the current international agenda and issues of regional socio-economic development, as well as for wider international recognition and prospects for the implementation of BRICS projects
