Testing Gravity Theories In The Radiative Regime Using Pulsar Timing Arrays
General relativity has predicted the existence of gravitational waves (GW),
which are waves of the distortions of space-time with two degrees of
polarization and the propagation speed of light. Alternative theories predict
more polarizations, up to a maximum of six, and possible deviation of
propagation speed from the light speed. The present paper reviews recent
proposals to test the gravity theories in the radiation regime by observing GWs
using pulsar timing arrays.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures, PULSAR CONFERENCE 2010, Chia Laguna Resort,

Effect of Diethylenetriamine and Triethylamine sensitization on the critical diameter of Nitromethane
In this work, the critical diameter for detonation was measured for Nitromethane (NM) sensitized with two different amines: Diethylenetriamine (DETA) and Triethylamine (TEA). The critical diameter in glass and polyvinylchloride tubes is found to decrease rapidly as the amount of sensitizer is increased, then increase past a critical amount of sensitizer. Thus the critical diameter reaches a minimum at a critical concentration of sensitizer. It was also found that the critical diameter is lower with DETA than with TEA
Monitoring Challenges and Approaches for P2P File-Sharing Systems
Since the release of Napster in 1999, P2P file-sharing has enjoyed a dramatic rise in popularity. A 2000 study by Plonka on the University of Wisconsin campus network found that file-sharing accounted for a comparable volume of traffic to HTTP, while a 2002 study by Saroiu et al. on the University of Washington campus network found that file-sharing accounted for more than treble the volume of Web traffic observed, thus affirming the significance of P2P in the context of Internet traffic. Empirical studies of P2P traffic are essential for supporting the design of next-generation P2P systems, informing the provisioning of network infrastructure and underpinning the policing of P2P systems. The latter is of particular significance as P2P file-sharing systems have been implicated in supporting criminal behaviour including copyright infringement and the distribution of illegal pornograph
AUTOTEM - Automated geometry meshing and heat conduction calculation
Temperature distribution for an arbitrary irregular body is calculated by AUTOTEM, which generates required input data automatically by computer. Temperature distribution is calculated for a two-dimensional plane section in /x,y/ coordinates or for an axisymmetric irregular body in /r,z/ coordinates
