Synchronization of particle motion in compressed two-dimensional plasma crystals
The collective motion of dust particles during the mode-coupling induced
melting of a two-dimensional plasma crystal is explored in molecular dynamics
simulations. The crystal is compressed horizontally by an anisotropic
confinement. This compression leads to an asymmetric triggering of the
mode-coupling instability which is accompanied by alternating chains of
in-phase and anti-phase oscillating particles. A new order parameter is
proposed to quantify the synchronization with respect to different directions
of the crystal. Depending on the orientation of the confinement anisotropy,
mode-coupling instability and synchronized motion are observed in one or two
directions. Notably, the synchronization is found to be direction-dependent.
The good agreement with experiments suggests that the confinement anisotropy
can be used to explain the observed synchronization process.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
Coupling of non-crossing wave modes in a two-dimensional plasma crystal
We report an experimental observation of coupling of the transverse vertical
and longitudinal in-plane dust-lattice wave modes in a two-dimensional complex
plasma crystal in the absence of mode crossing. A new large diameter rf plasma
chamber was used to suspend the plasma crystal. The observations are confirmed
with molecular-dynamics simulations. The coupling manifests itself in traces of
the transverse vertical mode appearing in the measured longitudinal spectra and
vice versa. We calculate the expected ratio of the trace to the principal mode
with a theoretical analysis of the modes in a crystal with finite temperature
and find good agreement with the experiment and simulations.Comment: 4 figures, 5 pages, accepted for publication in PRL Nov 201
Analyzing Fraud Diamond for Detecting Fraud Committed with Religiosity as Intervening Variable: Study in Manufacturing Company’s Managers in East Java
This research was conducted to find out the reasons why a manager commits fraud. Diamond fraud model was used in this research. Religiosity variables are used as intervening variables to determine the effect of religiosity in intervening fraudulent actions among managers of manufacturing companies in East JavaThe data analysis techniques used in this study were descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results of the analysis test in this study resulted in several conclusions, namely the Fraud diamond factor proved to have a significant effect on fraud (Fraud) committed by managers of manufacturing companies in East Java. Meanwhile, Fraud diamond (Incentive) factors proved to have no significant effect on fraud (Fraud) committed by managers of manufacturing companies in East Java. In addition, Religiosity was also not able to interfere strongly with the relationship between Fraud diamond on fraud (Fraud) committed by managers of manufacturing companies in East Java. In conclusion, this result of this research proves that the level of religiosity of a manager is not necessarily able to suppress fraud that is committed in the company
Long term global trends in open access. A data paper
Studies on long term trends in open access are of interest for the assessment of the evolution of scientific publishing and related markets. We therefore compiled and analysed a data set that integrated Web of Science as a global bibliographic data source on internationally relevant publications with data from Unpaywall, the primary provider of information related to open access at publication level. Data were captured in 2021 and show the open access categories as defined by Unpaywall for the publication years 2000 to 2020. In these two decades open access has gained substantial momentum. Starting with a few per cent, it now covers roughly half of the publications when embargo periods are over. The comparison of four variants of subsets of these data, however, show the wide variability in absolute and relative numbers. Results depend heavily on the characteristics of the data sources and the subsets selected within these. Major factors are listed and discussed. Aggregated data are provided in the MPG data repository
DETERMINAN AKUNTABILITAS KEUANGAN DANA DESA PASCA PENERAPAN UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 6 TAHUN 2014
Village existence is very important for national development. Thus, uneven development between the Village and the City can cause many villagers who try their fortune in the city, leave the village and do not want to return to the Village. This research was conducted to determine the effect of human resource competence on financial accountability of village funds and the influence of the role of village heads on village financial accountability. The population in this study are all villages in the Sleman Regency. This research uses incidental sampling. The sample size uses the Slovin formula, with a minimum number of respondents of 71 villages. The analysis method uses structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis test. The conclusion of this study, namely that there is a significant influence between HR competencies on village financial accountability, meaning that if HR competencies are higher, the financial accountability of village funds is more accountable. There is a significant influence between HR competencies on the financial accountability of village funds, meaning that if HR competencies are higher, the financial accountability of village funds will be more accountable. There is a significant influence between the role of the village head on the financial accountability of village funds, meaning that if the role of the village head is higher, then the financial accountability of village funds is more accountable
Policy Socialization and Business Strategy Direction of Eco-Tourism
This study aims to estimate the losses of tourism-related sectors and businesses to take recovery steps by disseminating policies and strategic directions. This study uses the Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) to calculate losses. This study indicates that the average percentage of losses in the tourism sector from January to August 2020 is 68% (9,508 million USD) to 69% (10,328 million USD). Several sectors experienced losses, especially accommodation (2978 to 3235 million USD); food and beverages (1750 to 1900 million USD); and shopping (1530 to 1662 million USD). Business actors need to know the socialization of government policies such as fiscal stimulus, CHSE (Cleanliness Health Safety Sustainability) certification, and market reactivation. The direction of the right strategy is also carried out, such as product innovation, improvement of health protocols, digitization, and certification. How to Cite:Esquivias, M. The Effect of Intellectual Capital and Financial Services Knowledge on Financial Inclusion
The study aims to determine the influence of intellectual capital and education on public financial services in increasing financial inclusion. This study applied a survey technique by selecting respondents according to the purposive sampling method. The number of respondents in this study was 500 people and came from various regions in Indonesia. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques. The results indicate that intellectual capital has a positive effect on financial inclusion. Conversely, education about public financial services has no influence in increasing financial inclusion. The results of this study indicate that the success of financial inclusion programs in Indonesia is caused more by the role of public intellectual capital. Studies show that the public does not have the courage to be involved in banking institutions because the image of this institution tends to be inflexible in its operations. The results of this study are expected to make a real contribution, especially for the government and banks, that in order to achieve the success of the financial inclusion program in Indonesia; the related parties should educate the public directly to citizens who have not been reached by banking services continuously and with a more down to earth approach

Space Climate Manifestation in Earth Prices - from Medieval England Up to Modern Usa
In this study we continue to search for possible manifestations of space
weather influence on prices of agricultural products and consumables. We note
that the connection between solar activity and prices is based on the causal
chain that includes several nonlinear transition elements. These non-linear
elements are characterized by threshold sensitivity to external parameters and
lead to very inhomogeneous local sensitivity of the price to space weather
conditions. It is noted that "soft type" models are the most adequate for
description of this class of connections. Two main observational effects
suitable for testing causal connections of this type of sensitivity are
considered: burst-like price reactions on changes in solar activity and price
asymmetry for selected phases of the sunspot cycle. The connection, discovered
earlier for wheat prices of Medieval England, is examined in this work on the
basis of another 700-year data set of consumable prices in England. Using the
same technique as in the previous part of our work (Pistilnik and Yom Din 2004)
we show that statistical parameters of the interval distributions for price
bursts of consumables basket and for sunspot minimum states are similar one to
another, like it was reported earlier for wheat price bursts. Possible sources
of these consistencies between three different multiyear samples are discussed.
For search of possible manifestations of the "space weather - wheat market"
connection in modern time, we analyze dynamics of wheat prices in the USA in
the twentieth century. We show that the wheat prices revealed a maximum/minimum
price asymmetry consistent with the phases of the sunspot cycle. We discuss
possible explanations of this observed asymmetry, unexpected under conditions
of globalization of the modern wheat market.Comment: First International Symposium on Space Climate: Direct and Indirect
