Information sharing among innovative SME: An exploratory study within the Portuguese SME innovation network
This paper aims to enhance understanding on inter-organizational information
sharing through a study in a Portuguese SME Innovation Network, which is
composed of innovative firms from different economical sectors. The type of
information shared was identified as well as the channels used, the gains obtained
and the factors that influence its occurrence. A qualitative approach was used
based on the perception of members and coordination. The motivating role played
by the coordination of the network is a point to emphasize regarding the collective
sharing of information. Factors related to network structure, national culture,
characteristics of the companies and channels used were identified as inhibitors to
a greater identification between the companies. Moreover, the factors that
influence the information sharing process between the companies and its most

Factors influencing information sharing in four SME networks in Portugal: A coordination perspective
Sharing a minimum amount of information is a basic condition for working in cooperation. The aim of this study was to identify aspects that influence information sharing within inter-organizational networks through an exploratory and qualitative approach. The coordination's representatives of four networks were interviewed: the Majority-Partner of a Purchase Network (RAVT), the Technical Consultant of an Innovation Network (COTEC), the General Secretary of a cluster representation network (CEFAMOL) and the President of a Network of Associations (UACS). Aspects related to the information sharing were identified, such as information quality, top management commitment, trust, network coordination's role, reciprocity and age. Information and knowledge sharing in inter-organizational relationships under the process approach
This papers aims to contribute to the understanding of inter-organizational information and knowledge sharing by analyzing how the phenomenon is presented in the literature under the process approach. As results, it was possible to identify how the authors have labeled and measured the phenomenon, the contexts in which it has been investigated and what antecedents have been identified. Aspects that demand further studies were also highlighted. Deep radio observations of the radio halo of the bullet cluster 1E 0657-55.8
We present deep 1.1-3.1 GHz Australia Telescope Compact Array observations of
the radio halo of the bullet cluster, 1E 0657-55.8. In comparison to existing
images of this radio halo the detection in our images is at higher
significance. The radio halo is as extended as the X-ray emission in the
direction of cluster merger but is significantly less extended than the X-ray
emission in the perpendicular direction. At low significance we detect a faint
second peak in the radio halo close to the X-ray centroid of the smaller
sub-cluster (the bullet) suggesting that, similarly to the X-ray emission, the
radio halo may consist of two components. Finally, we find that the distinctive
shape of the western edge of the radio halo traces out the X-ray detected bow
shock. The radio halo morphology and the lack of strong point-to-point
correlations between radio, X-ray and weak-lensing properties suggests that the
radio halo is still being formed. The colocation of the X-ray shock with a
distinctive radio brightness edge illustrates that the shock is influencing the
structure of the radio halo. These observations support the theory that shocks
and turbulence influence the formation and evolution of radio halo synchrotron

Generalized L\"uscher Formula in Multi-channel Baryon-Meson Scattering
L\"uscher's formula relates the elastic scattering phase shifts to the
two-particle energy levels in a finite cubic box. The original formula was
obtained for elastic scattering of two massive spinless particles in the center
of mass frame. In this paper, we consider the case for the scattering of a spin
1/2 particle with a spinless particle in multi-channel scattering. A
generalized relation between the energy of two particle system and the
scattering matrix elements is established. We first obtain this relation using
quantum-mechanics in both center-of-mass frame and in a general moving frame.
The result is then generalized to quantum field theory using methods outlined
in Ref. \cite{Hansen:2012tf}. We verify that the results obtained using both
methods are equivalent up to terms that are exponentially suppressed in the box

Another shock for the Bullet cluster, and the source of seed electrons for radio relics
With Australia Telescope Compact Array observations, we detect a highly
elongated Mpc-scale diffuse radio source on the eastern periphery of the Bullet
cluster 1E0657-55.8, which we argue has the positional, spectral and
polarimetric characteristics of a radio relic. This powerful relic (2.3+/-0.1 x
10^25 W Hz^-1) consists of a bright northern bulb and a faint linear tail. The
bulb emits 94% of the observed radio flux and has the highest surface
brightness of any known relic. Exactly coincident with the linear tail we find
a sharp X-ray surface brightness edge in the deep Chandra image of the cluster
-- a signature of a shock front in the hot intracluster medium (ICM), located
on the opposite side of the cluster to the famous bow shock. This new example
of an X-ray shock coincident with a relic further supports the hypothesis that
shocks in the outer regions of clusters can form relics via diffusive shock
(re-)acceleration. Intriguingly, our new relic suggests that seed electrons for
reacceleration are coming from a local remnant of a radio galaxy, which we are
lucky to catch before its complete disruption. If this scenario, in which a
relic forms when a shock crosses a well-defined region of the ICM polluted with
aged relativistic plasma -- as opposed to the usual assumption that seeds are
uniformly mixed in the ICM -- is also the case for other relics, this may

Vestas V90-3MW Wind Turbine Gearbox Health Assessment Using a Vibration-Based Condition Monitoring System
Reliable monitoring for the early fault diagnosis of gearbox faults is of great concern for the wind industry.This paper presents a novel approach for health condition monitoring (CM) and fault diagnosis in wind turbine gearboxes using vibration analysis. This methodology is based on amachine learning algorithm that generates a baseline for the identification of deviations fromthe normal operation conditions of the turbine and the intrinsic characteristic-scale decomposition (ICD) method for fault type recognition. Outliers picked up during the baseline stage are decomposed by the ICD method to obtain the product components which reveal
the fault information.The new methodology proposed for gear and bearing defect identification was validated by laboratory and field trials, comparing well with the methods reviewed in the literature
Interorganizational information acquisition in an innovative SME network: innovation and information types
Information and innovation have been increasingly recognised as sources for firms’ competitive advantage. One of the ways firms have used to acquire these resources is through cooperative relationships, such as networks. This research proposes a conceptual model of antecedents and consequences of the volume of relevant information acquisition and innovation generation in the context of a Portuguese Innovative SME Network. This is an exploratory descriptive study, conducted through a survey of 60 SMEs (34.9% of the population). The results showed that for most firms, the participation on the network does not contribute to the acquisition of relevant information from

Glauber Critical Dynamics: Exact Solution of the Kinetic Gaussian Model
In this paper, we have exactly solved Glauber critical dynamics of the
Gaussian model on three dimensions. Of course, it is much easy to apply to low
dimensional case. The key steps are that we generalize the spin change
mechanism from Glauber's single-spin flipping to single-spin transition and
give a normalized version of the transition probability . We have also
investigated the dynamical critical exponent and found surprisingly that the
dynamical critical exponent is highly universal which refer to that for one-
two- and three-dimensions they have same value independent of spatial
dimensionality in contrast to static (equilibrium) critical exponents.Comment: 9 page
