Blow up solutions to a viscoelastic fluid system and a coupled Navier-Stokes/Phase-Field system in R^2
We find explicit solutions to both the Oldroyd-B model with infinite
Weissenberg number and the coupled Navier-Stokes/Phase-Field system. The
solutions blow up in finite time.Comment: 5 page
A correlated electron diffraction, in situ neutron diffraction and dielectric properties investigation of poled (1-x)Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-xBaTiO3 ceramics
A correlated electron diffraction, temperature-dependent in situ neutron diffraction, and
temperature-dependent dielectric properties investigation of poled (1-x)Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-xBaTiO3
(BNTBT100x) (x Ā¼ 0.04, 0.07, and 0.12) samples has been carried out. The results show that the
depolarization temperature, Td, of the rhombohedral BNTBT 4 sample is associated with the disappearance
of G 6 1=2 [111]*p satellite reflections and aaa-
octahedral tilting while that of the
BNTBT 12 sample is associated with a metrically tetragonal to metrically cubic or pseudo-cubic
symmetry. In the case of the poled BNTBT 7 sample in the MPB region, the dielectric properties
show a quite distinct two stage transition from a room temperature clearly metrically tetragonal
phase again to a metrically cubic or pseudo-cubic symmetry above 150 C. There is no apparent
change in its average structure in vicinity of Td in BNTBT 7. Electron diffraction shows the presence
of considerable octahedral tilt twin disorder in all three samples.J.W., Y.L., R.L.W., Q.L., and Y.P.G. appreciate the support

Quantum discord dynamical behaviors due to initial system-cavity correlations
We analyze the roles of initial correlations between the two-qubit system and
a dissipative cavity on quantum discord dynamics of two qubits. Considering two
initial system-cavity states, we show that the initial system-cavity
correlations not only can initially increase the two-qubit quantum discord but
also would lead to a larger long-time quantum discord asymptotic value.
Moreover, quantum discord due to initial correlations is more robust than the
case of the initial factorized state. Finally, we show the initial
correlations' importance for dynamics behaviors of mutual information and
classical correlation
Optical realization of universal quantum cloning
Beyond the no-cloning theorem, the universal symmetric quantum cloning
machine was first addressed by Buzek and Hillery. Here, we realized the
one-to-two qubits Buzek-Hillery cloning machine with linear optical devices.
This method relies on the representation of several qubits by a single photon.
We showed that, the fidelities between the two output qubits and the original
qubit are both 5/6 (which proved to be the optimal fidelity of one-to-two
qubits universal cloner) for arbitrary input pure states.Comment: 5 Pages, 2 Figure
Linear-Optical Implementation of Perfect Discrimination between Single-bit Unitary Operations
Discrimination of unitary operations is a fundamental quantum information
processing task. Assisted with linear optical elements, we experimentally
demonstrate perfect discrimination between single-bit unitary operations using
two methods--sequential scheme and parallel scheme. The complexity and resource
consumed in these two schemes are analyzed and compared.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure
