The article discusses modern methods of diagnosing and technical diagnostics of irrigation pumping units to ensure reliability during operation. Using new designs of pumping power equipment and developing new operating modes provide for improving the mode of pumps based on improved diagnostics, significantly saving operating costs. Together with this provides detection, control, and prediction of multi-stage failure of the rolling bearing by monitoring the vibration trends of the centrifugal pump unit during operation

This article provides an introduction to one of the lesser-known examples of European settler colonialism, the settlement of European (mainly Russian and Ukrainian) peasants in Southern Central Asia (Turkestan) in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It establishes the legal background and demographic impact of peasant settlement, and the role played by the state in organising and encouraging it. It explores official attitudes towards the settlers (which were often very negative), and their relations with the local Kazakh and Kyrgyz population. The article adopts a comparative framework, looking at Turkestan alongside Algeria and Southern Africa, and seeking to establish whether paradigms developed in the study of other settler societies (such as the ‘poor white’) are of any relevance in understanding Slavic peasant settlement in Turkestan. It concludes that there are many close parallels with European settlement in other regions with large indigenous populations, but that racial ideology played a much less important role in the Russian case compared to religious divisions and fears of cultural backsliding. This did not prevent relations between settlers and the ‘native’ population deteriorating markedly in the years before the First World War, resulting in large-scale rebellion in 1916

Mutual arrangement is a combined machine that performs strip preparation of the soil for sowing. The scheme and the functional scheme of the combined machine are given. Analytical dependences and mathematical models for determining the distance between the support wheels are obtained. In this case, the methods of theoretical and classical mechanics are used. To conduct experimental studies, a strain gauge laboratory and field installation has been developed with the possibility of changing the sheet casing, the ripper, and the main housings. Machines were determined in experiments. The plowshare of the lister housing and the ripper of at least 40 cm, between the main body and the lister housing of at least 70 cm, high-quality soil preparation for sowing melons of the required degree with minimal traction resistance

Particle transport in graphene nanoribbon driven by ultrashort pulses

We study charge transport in a graphene zigzag nanoribbon driven by an external time-periodic kicking potential. Using the exact solution of the time-dependent Dirac equation with a delta-kick potential acting in each period, we study the time evolution of the population transfer probability and the time-dependent optical conductivity. By variation of the kicking parameters, the conductivity becomes widely tunable
