Lipid peroxidation in the rat blood under the single alimentary incorporation of 90Sr + 90Y

    No full text
Lipid peroxidation (LP) following the single 90Sr + 90Y alimentary injection at the activity of 113,9 kBq per animal in the blood of Wistar adult mail rats by means of chemiluminescence was studied. Dynamics of LP changes was revealed to have the extreme features with minimum on the 1-st day and maximum on the 3-rd day. Since the 7-th day the meanings of cheminulescence indicators linear depend on the effective doze quantity, moreover for all the meanings (І1, І2 and S), besides the final intensity of luminescence (Ik), this dependence practically equals determination coefficient R2 = 0,987. For Ik the doze dependence is inversed to R2 = 0,918. Obtained data demonstrate that the radiation loading causes the initiation of antioxidant defence adaptation-compensatory mechanisms at the early period of radiation influence

Prooxidant-antioxidant processes in blood and liver of murine rodents (Myodes glareolus and Apodemus flavicollis) under single irradiation

The effect of total single X-ray irradiation (1.5 Gy) on the course of free radical processes (FRP) in the blood and liver of red fistula (Myodes glareolus) and yellow-throated mouse (Apodemus flavicollis) was studied. It is shown that physicochemical regulation of FRP in the blood of murine rodents under total X-ray irradiation (1.5 Gy) in the early stages is carried out mainly due to catalase and reduced glutathione (GSH). This is evidenced by the stoichiometry of the CL reaction and symbat changes in the prooxidant-antioxidant ratio (PAR) and basic kinetic parameters of the CL reaction (Imax, Ifin) and antibat changes to PAR - catalase and GSH

Peroxidase activity of the rat blood at prolonged intake of 137Cs

Investigated peroxidase activity of blood white nonlinear rats-males by daily oral administration of 15 kBq 137Cs by chemiluminescence. Discovered oscillatory nature of the changes chemiluminescent indicators peroxi-dase oxidation of blood, the maximum deviation of the control are registered during the 4th and 60th days, and the minimum at the 1st, 7th and 135th days. Recovering kinetic parameters CL does not occur within 135 days of ob-servation (the 90th day of the completion of the introduction of radioactive cesium)

Modification of oxidation metabolism by biological active preparation RAPAMID in mice with different radiosensitivity

    No full text
Influence of Rapamid, new biological active preparation of natural origin with antioxidant properties, on oxidation metabolism in mice with different radiosensitivity under single total irradiated, doze 1.0 Gy, was investigated. The one usage course of Rapamid before irradiation, according to oxide metabolism values, exert considerable radioprotective efficacy upon radiosensitive C3H mice, whereas on radioresistant mice (line CBA) such course result in increasing of free radicals processes. The authors pay attention to necessity of individual approach when drugs with antioxidant properties are used

Dynamics of free-radical processes in the animals after protracted influence of exogenous nitric oxide and ionizing radiation

    No full text
Aim of the investigation was to study the influence of nitric oxide (NO) and low doses of ionizing radiation (LDIR) on free radical processes that occur in various tissues of mammalian organism. Fractionated LDIR irradia-tion was shown to temporarily disrupt an oxidative metabolism. At same time protracted NO inhalation causes more significant harmful effects. This indicated that there are two pathways of oxidative metabolism disruption caused by generation of reactive oxygen or nitrogen species in tissues of mammalian organism

Effect of mineral water of Beryezovsky deposit on hematopoietic system of the irradiated animals

Effectiveness of radiomodifying action of natural mineral water (MW) of Berezovsky deposit in comparison with MW “Naftusya” was studied. It is shown that MW Berezovsky deposits are characterized by mild radioprotective properties. With prolonged use, MW deregulates prooxidant-antioxidant ratio and inhibits the oxidative metabolism in the peripheral blood of the animals
