Microlensing path parametrization for Earth-like Exoplanet detection around solar mass stars
We propose a new parametrization of the impact parameter u0 and impact angle
{\alpha} for microlensing systems composed by an Earth-like Exoplanet around a
Solar mass Star at 1 AU. We present the caustic topology of such system, as
well as the related light curves generated by using such a new parametrization.
Based on the same density of points and accuracy of regular methods, we obtain
results 5 times faster for discovering Earth-like exoplanet. In this big data
revolution of photometric astronomy, our method will impact future missions
like WFIRST (NASA) and Euclid (ESA) and they data pipelines, providing a rapid
and deep detection of exoplanets for this specific class of microlensing event
that might otherwise be lost.Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures, accepted to be published in The Astronomical

On the link between rotation, chromospheric activity and Li abundance in subgiant stars
The connection rotation-CaII emission flux-lithium abundance is analyzed for
a sample of bona fide subgiant stars, with evolutionary status determined from
HIPPARCOS trigonometric parallax measurements and from the Toulouse-Geneva
code.Comment: 9 pages, 8 figure
Onciderini Thomson, 1860 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae) types of the Museum fĂĽr Naturkunde - Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Science, Berlin (ZMHB)
The primary types of Onciderini Thomson, 1860 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae) of the Museum fĂĽr Naturkunde - Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Science, Berlin (ZMHB), Germany, are catalogued and illustrated. Data on the original combination, current name, gender, and type locality are verified and presented. There are 16 primary types of Onciderini including four in Oncideres Lacordaire, 1830 and three in Trestonia Buquet, 1859. Of the 16 primary types, seven were described by Ubirajara R. Martins, four by Wilhelm Ferdinand Erichson, and three by Ernst Friedrich Germar

Thomsonista Nearns and Nascimento, a new genus of Onciderini Thomson, 1860 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae), is described and illustrated. Seven new species of Onciderini are described and illustrated: Hesychotypa antonkozlovi from Ecuador; Hesychotypa danilevskyi from Panama; Lingafelteria pandolfii from Brazil; Oncideres antonkozlovi and Oncideres erwini from Peru; Oncideres johnmarvini from Costa Rica and Panama; and Thomsonista antonkozlovi from Colombia.

The increasing of the new scientific areas, along with the multitude of information items, it's pushing the librarians to find creatively novel ways to gather information for the development of the collection under their responsability. This must definitely change the usual practice of these professionals towards mastering moderns IT tools in order to better analyse a huge volume of data in a shorter amount of time. Hence, this paper discusses a proposal of building metadata of the syllabus plans, within a university to easy the minering some important information out of them as part of a master collection development policy
