With the development of the Internet of Things and big data technology, it was easy to collect personal situation information. The information collected in this way requires the user to support customized services via big data technology. However, traditional situational awareness systems request action through user cognition or provide consistent services for the specific purposes of multiple users. Therefore, this paper proposes a mechanism of Vehicular CPS with situational cognitive function that minimizes direct user intervention for user customization services. In this paper, we designed the system configuration and detailed process based on the scenario of the situation where the user is driving a car. A vector is used to provide a method for determining a dangerous water level by analyzing an abnormal state of a reception threshold with a sensor. The proposed system was analyzed by simulation. By using the authorization step that operates based on the sensor data, we were able to know that the reliability of the user is improved and that the reliable processing of the IoT service is possible. In the future, research for personal authentication and encryption is needed for more secure information processing

The Impact of Horizontal Merger Between Manufacturers on Channel Pricing Behaviors

This paper studies the impact of a horizontal merger between two manufacturers on channel pricing behaviors. We utilize the new empirical industrial organization approach in which demand and supply side behaviors are derived from economic theories. We apply our model to a market data set obtained from the toilette paper category in which a major merger between Kimberly Clark and Scott happened. We find the impact of the merger on retailer-manufacturer interaction is heterogeneous across manufacturers. The merged manufacturer turns out to become tougher in its pricing. However, we do not find any evidence that the merge makes other manufacturers tougher. This research has been supported by Institute of Management Research at Seoul National University

The Poor Outcome of the Delayed Diagnosis of Acute Spontaneous Spinal Epidural Hematoma : Two Cases Report

We present two patients who had acute paraplegia with sensory loss due to spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma (SSEH). One had myocardial infraction and the other had deep vein thrombosis, and the former was treated with anticoagulants and the latter was treated with thrombolytic agent. We analyzed the neurological status of our two cases each between its preoperative and postoperative state. Postoperatively both showed no improvement of neurologic symptom, and on follow-up of 12 months, one showed no neurologic improvement and the other showed a insignificant improvement of lower extremity muscle power (trace knee extensor/ankle dorsiflexor). We thought that this poor outcome was due to delayed operation, which was done more than 24 hr after the symptom onset. The outcome in SSEH is essentially determined by the time taken from symptom onset to operation. Therefore, early and precise diagnosis such as careful history taking and MRI evaluation is necessary
