Asymptotically Friedmann self-similar scalar field solutions with potential

We investigate self-similar solutions which are asymptotic to the Friedmann universe at spatial infinity and contain a scalar field with potential. The potential is required to be exponential by self-similarity. It is found that there are two distinct one-parameter families of asymptotic solutions, one is asymptotic to the proper Friedmann universe, while the other is asymptotic to the quasi-Friedmann universe, i.e., the Friedmann universe with anomalous solid angle. The asymptotically proper Friedmann solution is possible only if the universe is accelerated or the potential is negative. If the potential is positive, the density perturbation in the asymptotically proper Friedmann solution rapidly falls off at spatial infinity, while the mass perturbation is compensated. In the asymptotically quasi-Friedmann solution, the density perturbation falls off only in proportion to the inverse square of the areal radius and the relative mass perturbation approaches a nonzero constant at spatial infinity. The present result shows that a necessary condition holds in order that a self-gravitating body grows self-similarly due to the constant accretion of quintessence in an accelerating universe.Comment: accepted for publication in Physical Review D, minor correction, typos correcte

OBJECTIVE: The differential diagnosis of schizophrenia (SZ) versus autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be clinically challenging because accumulating evidence suggests both clinical and biological overlaps between them. The aim of this study was to compare Rorschach profiles between young adults with SZ and those with ASD. METHODS: We evaluated quantitative tendencies on the Rorschach test among 20 patients diagnosed with SZ and 20 diagnosed with ASD. Both groups were matched for age, sex, and intelligence quotient. RESULTS: We found significant differences in six response variables on the Rorschach comprehensive system. Those with SZ had significantly higher scores on D score, adjusted D score (Adj D), developmental quality code reflecting ordinary response (DQo), and form quality minus (FQ -) than those with ASD. In contrast, those with SZ had significantly lower scores on the active and developmental quality code reflecting synthesized response (DQ+) subscales than those with ASD. CONCLUSION: The present findings reveal that individuals with SZ might have more stress tolerance, stronger perception distortions, and simpler and poorer recognition than those with ASD. We suggest that the Rorschach test might be a useful tool for differentiating between SZ and ASD.博士(医学)・乙第1386号・平成28年11月24日© 2016 Kishimoto et al. A Real-time Control Scheme for Vision Sensor Tasks

If a real-time vision task is time-dependent on image frame (IF) content, a Timing Fault (TF) will occur unless the real-time vision system assumes a worst case processing time and is composed of hardware designed to meet such timedemands. This paper proposes a control scheme for real-time vision tasks which, by achieving trade-off of result quality and processing time, manages to avoid the occurrence of TFs while at the same time maintaining reasonable hardware specificationdemands. I. Introduction For a real-time vision system, as many vision tasks can be time dependent on the IF content, a TF may occur if a task fails to complete and produce its result by its deadline. On the other hand, for many vision tasks, trade-off of the result quality and processing time can be achieved under some time variable factors (TVFs). TVF Examples are the pixel number, data precision, algorithm selection, and the number, size or complexity of target objects. This paper proposed a task control sche..
