Glioblastoma multiforme : A study of 22 patients and an analysis of the effect of gross total resection on quality of life and recurrence free survival

We present a series of 22 cases of Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) managed at our centre. Patients underwent surgical decompression followed by radio chemotherapy. Intraoperative ultrasound was used as an aid to surgery. Ultrasonic and later CT confirmation of extent of tumor resection was obtained. Outcomeswere evaluated with respect to tumor progression.
