    The aristocratic societies in the Caucasus in the XVIII-XIX centuries and serfdom (on the materials of the collection of laws of the Georgian king Vakhtang VI)

    The article on the basis of the legislation of the Georgian king Vakhtang VI deals with serfdom at the aristocratic societies in the Caucasus in the XVIII-XIX centuries. The article is paid attention to the process of decline of serfdom in the period after the annexation of Georgia to Russia. As the main source there was used the Collection of laws of the Georgian king Vakhtang VI, compiled in the early of XVIII century and republished in the late of XIX century, and scientific publications, which reflect the scope of the research. The methodological basis of the study were the principles of objectivity and historicism, suggesting an unbiased approach to the analysis of the considered problems, a critical attitude to the sources, the making judgments as a result of an analysis of a set of facts and the screening phenomena in the development and the context of the historical situation. The application of these methodological approaches allowed us to examine the situation in the aristocratic societies in 1800-1870-ies. In conclusion, the authors note that Vakhtangov's laws characterized by humanism in the questions of inviolability of the human personality. When comparing the criminal laws of king Vakhtang with the laws of the european states of this period, there should state that Georgian legislation was more lenient and indulgent to the human weakness. In laws there were completely ignored the legislative experience of islamic states. After the accession of Georgia to the Russian Empire there began the process of updating the aristocratic societies by reducing the number of dependent classes.     Assessment of the Professional Competencies of Pedagogue-Psychologists on the Basis of the Professional Standard «Pedagogue-Psychologist (Educational Psychologist)» as a Modern Tool for Human Resources Management

    The results of monitoring the evaluation and self-assessment of the competencies of the pedagogue-psychologist according to the content of the labor functions of the professional standard "Pedagogue-psychologist (educational psychologist)" are given. 340 pedagogues-psychologists participated in the monitoring, working in the City Center of Psychological and Educational Assistance. The toolkit consisted of: a self-assessment questionnaire of professional competencies, a test task for psychological knowledge, a colloquium based on a semi-structured interview with pedagogues-psychologists on their professional activities. Based on the results obtained, the psychology teachers working in the City Psychological and Pedagogical Center were divided into four groups, depending on the results of the interview and the fulfillment of the test task. In relation to psychologists who received low scores in the interview and poor test results, management decisions were proposed to develop their professional competence

    Views of University Administrators on Online Education During the Epidemic Period

    The human resources unit in universities has planned training for academicians and directors. With the transition to distance education during the pandemic period, face-to-face training has started to take place online. With this study, online training was planned for the administrators in the administrative department of universities. The opinions of the managers about online training are critical. Managers’ views were consulted on the effectiveness of online training. In this study, a qualitative research method was used to reach detailed results. The study group of the research consists of 18 administrators in the administrative department of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia development programme’ for 3 weeks in the 2020–2021 fall semester. In order to access the data of this study, the interview form developed by the researchers was used as a data collection tool. While preparing the interview questions developed by the researcher, the opinions of four experts in the field were taken and the questions were finalized. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data. The findings obtained as a result of the research are given in detail in the findings and results section. © 2021.     Lecturers Views of Online Instructors about Distance Education and Adobe Connect

Due to the epidemic disease COVID-19, all of the trainings and courses have been given via distance education since the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. For the first time, the vast majority of the instructors who delivered these courses offered their courses using Web-based distance education technologies. A new process has been entered due to the epidemic that has affected the world. In this process, educational institutions were caught unprepared. For this reason, since distance education is a new process for most, it is possible for faculty members to face various problems. Therefore, determining the opinions of the instructors about the distance education process is important for the improvement and development of the distance education system. The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of the lecturers who provide online courses via distance education through the distance education system and to make suggestions for the improvement of the system. For this purpose, interviews with semi-structured questions were held with 15 instructors in Adobe Connect application and the obtained data were analysed descriptively. The interviews in the zoom application were recorded. The results of the research determined the opinions of the instructors about technology, online education, competencies, problems and adobe connect. As a result of the research, it revealed that the instructors needed in-service training to have sufficient information about the online training platforms; they had a sufficient level of interaction with adobe connect connection, and they needed immediate communication with the distance education centre in technical problem

    The Views of the Teacher Candidates on the Use of Kahoot as A Gaming Tool

The process of integration of technology into education involves many tools and applications to be used in the classroom and outside teaching processes today. ‘Kahoot’ is one of such student response systems and one of the primary applications that can be utilised for the purposes such as gamification, formative assessment and peer learning procedures. Such applications are widely used for the purposes of bringing a gamification in the education industry nowadays. The primary purpose of this research is to determine the opinions of teachers who are active in the education industry and their experience in using ‘Kahoot’ as a teaching aid in bringing the diversification in the industry. In this study, a semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. Opinions of prospective teachers participating in the study was taken into consideration to form an end conclusion of this research study. The research data also involves a semi-structured student opinion form, and a procedure of content analysis was undertaken in the analysis of the data. The study group of the research consists of 38 teacher candidates studying in Kazan (Volga region) Federal University, Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and Sechenov University. As a result of the study performed over the set of teachers and students, it was concluded that the ‘Kahoot’ program is widely beneficial for students and teachers. It was also concluded that the Kahoot program is helpful in eliminating the deficiencies in learning. However, one of the shortcomings of the ‘Kahoot’ program is that it is an internet-based programme. Hence it may be problematic for some of the students to use the programme who have less knowledge in the internet domain. At the end of the study, a positive set of opinions about the Kahoot program was suggested, which majorly revolved around the idea that the programme is not internet based

    Social networks ecology: Socio-psychological phenomena and new means in communication system

    The relevance of this article is to understand the ecology of the Internet space as a communication environment, which has many little-studied aspects, in which various processes are constantly taking place, new trends and phenomena are occurring that represent a rich field for research. Internet meme can be attributed to this new phenomenon. The aim of the study is to analyze the nature and communicative capabilities of the Internet meme, to determine the main approaches to the study of this phenomenon and its impact on the ecology of social networks; identifying the specifics of the Internet meme in different spheres of public life. The leading method for the study of this problem is the method of the questionnaire, which identifies units arranged in a logical sequence, which contributes to the effective identification of socio-psychological phenomena that affect the ecology of social networks. The article analyzes the concept of Internet meme. The influence of the Internet meme on the ecology of social networks is analyzed. The functions, language techniques and patterns of Internet memes are considered. The novelty and originality of the study lies in the fact that the phenomenon of the Internet meme is considered, which can be considered a multidimensional phenomenon of Internet culture that affects the ecology of social networks. It is revealed that it bears the imprint of personal experiences of the creators; reflects the events of reality; broadcasts the worldview of the authors to other users, thereby affecting the consciousness of the user and forms certain values in it. It is determined that the Internet meme plays an important role in the ecology of social networks through the production and reproduction of a certain Internet culture. It is established that the emotional response that memes cause is an important factor for memorizing a meme, as well as a stimulus for its dissemination. Emotions often carry a negative, provocative connotation. These emotions Express mockery, sarcasm. It is revealed that in the most positive way youth evaluates absurd memes and memes with high originality. It is determined that in everyday life memes perform the function of communication (connection of words in sentences). Young people allocate local memes that are distributed within small groups, respectively; so, there are those that can be called common ones. It is established that the use of memes in marketing communications should be very differentiated and competent, because the sincerity of the meme is extremely important for young people, and too popular meme causes irritation. The data obtained in the work can be used in environmental psychology, marketing psychology, labor psychology, age psychology, social psychology, as well as for further theoretical development of this issue. © 2019 Kurbanov et al

    The impacts of teacher's efficacy and motivation on student's academic achievement in science education among secondary and high school students

    In the 21st century, we observe an increasingly aware of a series of global, technological and scientific advancement that create a need of good performance in science education at all levels of schooling. These challenges, among them rapid science and technological changes, a rise of information technology use, and continuing movement towards a knowledge-based society all highlight the need for deep education in science including biology, chemistry, environmental science, physics, and sustainability. In fact, the impact of teacher characteristics of self-efficacy level is important for science education and students' learning outcomes in science. In an effort to highlight this, this study investigated the impacts of teacher efficacy and motivation on students' academic achievement in science education in secondary and high schools located in Iran and Russia using motivation for academic performance scale (α = 0.89) and teacher self-efficacy scale (α = 0.91) as measuring instruments and achievement test in science education. Two hypotheses were tested using the statistical programme. For evaluating the demographical differences of the students in terms of their academic achievement, comparative analyses were performed using t-test. Results showed that gender difference was not significant but nationality difference was significant in terms of students' academic achievement in science education. Also other findings reported significant impact of teacher self-efficacy and motivation on academic achievement in science education. Implications, suggestions and recommendations for students, teachers, school administrators, parents, government, education counselors, etc. were discussed and presented. © 2018 by the authors
