Mutual Coupling Reduction of Super Wide Band MIMO Antenna Using Metamaterial Periodic Defected Ground Structures for THz Applications
In this article, a double negative (DNG) material inspired periodic defected ground structure is presented to reduce mutual coupling and gain enhancement of super wide band multiple input and multiple output antenna (SWBMA) for terahertz (THz) applications. For THz applications, a dual port super wide band MIMO antenna with size of 0.35 λ0 ×0.17 λ0 ×0.02 λ0 (57 ×27.6 ×3.36 µm3) has been designed on quartz substrate. The simulated results of proposed antenna exhibit fractional bandwidth (FWB) of 164% at 9.9THz resonant frequency (1.75 to 18THz) with peak gain 9.2dBi, and average radiation efficiency 89% throughout the super wide band spectrum. By inserting DNG meta-material based periodic defected ground structures in between inverse L stubs on ground plane, an isolation S12/S21 between radiating elements of Si,j ≤ -25dB has been attained. MIMO parameters of designed antenna are also investigated and it is observed that ECC<0.0025, DG>9.98 dB, TARC<-15dB, MEG<-3dB, and CCL<0.225bps/Hz throughout spectrum of antenna.By evaluating the characteristics of proposed antenna, it can be concluded that the proposed MIMO antenna can be a good candidate for high-speed THz applications like future 6G, high-speed Radar, and radiometric applications
Final report: surrogate motherhood- ethical or commercial
"This report on Surrogate ―Motherhood: Ethical or Commercial‖ has six chapters including an Introduction, a Literature Review and the Conclusion. Chapter II discusses the literature available on surrogacy, both national and international documents, and also analyses surrogacy arrangements across the globe, the legal issues so far, etc. at length. Chapter III chronicles the profile and plight of the surrogate mother before and after surrogacy and aims at analysing her status in the entire motherhood process, taking into consideration each and every aspect of the surrogacy arrangement. Chapter IV looks at the Commissioning Parents and aims to give an overview of the profile of the commissioning parents, their perspectives and views regarding surrogacy arrangement in India and a detailed analysis of different factors in surrogacy. This chapter also deals with the surrogacy clinics, primarily focussing on the detailed observations of the researchers during field visits as the medical practitioners concerned were unwilling to divulge information about their modus operandi. The last chapter consists of a conclusion on the existing situation of surrogate motherhood in India and recommends formulation of a strong legal framework to address the issue of surrogacy in India.

A study to assess the effectiveness of clinical teaching on the level of knowledge regarding nursing care bundle to prevent ventilator associated pneumonia among ICU nursing officers at AIIMS Bhopal
Background: Healthcare is a professional area bound to the ethical foundation of “do no harm.”, But in the current scenario, a rush to promote the curative scenario has led to the total downplay of the preventive aspect of care. The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge regarding nursing care bundle for the prevention of VAP among nursing officers before and after clinical teaching and to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical teaching.
Methods: This pretest-post-test study was conducted on nursing officers working in the ICU of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. 100 nursing officers were enrolled in the study via convenience sampling technique. The self-structured tool was validated by 10 experts with a mean CVI value of 0.94. The reliability of the self-structured knowledge questionnaire was determined by the test-retest method and found to be 0.87. The collected data was analysed for frequency, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and association.
Results: Findings showed that the mean knowledge score was 18.46±3.543 before intervention. After the intervention of video-assisted clinical teaching, a post-test was conducted, and the mean post-test knowledge scores was 25.07±2.801 at the p value <0.01. Knowledge of subjects about nursing care bundle for prevention of VAP was found to have a significant association with only educational qualification.
Conclusions: This study's findings concluded that educational interventions are necessary for the enhancement of knowledge and better compliance of nursing officers with guidelines regarding the bundle of care for the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia
Pročišćavanje i karakterizacija bakteriocina proizvedenog s pomoću Bacillus subtilis R75, bakterije izolirane iz fermentiranoga zelenčića (Phaseolus radiatus)
Food-grade bacteria capable of producing bacteriocin with desirable preservation attributes have been isolated from traditional Indian fermented food dal vari, which has not been investigated so far. Among different isolates, Bacillus subtilis R75, isolated on MRS agar, exhibited antagonism against a wide range of foodborne pathogens that cause serious spoilage. Extracellularly produced bacteriocin was purified by single step gel exclusion column chromatography. The purity rate and molecular mass of 12 kDa of this compound were determined using SDS-PAGE. Activity units (AU) of bacteriocin were increased in each step of purification, reaching up to 5·10^6 AU/mL. The increase in the activity units directly affected the antimicrobial activity of purified bacteriocin, resulting in an increase up to 200, 333 and 175 % of the inhibition zones against indicator bacteria. Continuous decrease in the number of viable cells of microorganisms within 10 h after adding purified bacteriocin proved its bactericidal action. It withstood very high temperature, up to 121 °C, for 10 min, wider pH range, from 4.0 to 11.0, complete inactivation in the presence of proteolytic enzymes and storage stability up to 2.5 months.

Not AvailableThe performance of ordinal logistic regression and discriminant function analysis has been compared in crop yield forecasting of wheat crop for Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Crop years were divided into two or three groups based on the detrended yield. Crop yield forecast models have been developed using probabilities obtained through ordinal logistic regression along with year as regressors and validated using subsequent years data. In discriminant function approach two types of models were developed, one using scores and another using posterior probabilities. Performance of the models obtained at different weeks was compared using Adj R2, PRESS (Predicted error sum of square), number of misclassifications and forecasts were compared using RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) and MAPE (Mean absolute percentage error) of forecast. Ordinal logistic regression based approach was found to be better than discriminant function analysis approach. Not Availabl
