Tematem artykułu jest potencjalny wpływ Paryskiej Umowy ONZ (porozumienie paryskie - L’accord de Paris) w sprawie zmian klimatu COP 21/ CMP 11 na rozwój energetyki jądrowej oraz ocena stanu po wyborach nowego prezydenta w USA. Omówiono oddanie do eksploatacji pierwszego od 20 lat bloku jądrowego w elektrowni Watts Bar w USA, rozpoczęcie remontu kapitalnego elektrowni PHWR w Kanadzie, a także produkcję trytu na terenie obu wymienionych obiektów. Zwrócono uwagę na zmianę tonu środków masowego przekazu w odniesieniu do elektrowni atomowych i tzw. „energii odnawialnej”.The article tackles potential effects of the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 21/ CMP 11 (Paris Agreement - L’accord de Paris) and the results of elections in the United States on development of nuclear power. Commercial operation of the first nuclear unit commissioned in the United States in 20 years at Watts Bar power plant and the commencement of refurbishment of PHWR generating station in Canada were described. Information on Tritium production in both aforementioned facilities was provided. Some attention was given to change in tone of Canadian mass media as it relates to renewable energy versus nuclear power
