Un exemple d’architecture « haussmannienne » à Toulouse : le Grand-Hôtel de la rue de Metz

Le Grand-Hôtel, réalisé par la Société Grenobloise Toulousaine à l’orée du XXe siècle, est un édifice notable pour la ville de Toulouse. Il s’inscrit dans une opération urbaine d’envergure : la percée de la rue de Metz où la SIGT finance la construction de onze édifices. Cette communication s’attachera à montrer la particularité du programme qui a présidé à la construction du Grand-Hôtel à l’intérieur de cette opération immobilière complexe, liée au prolongement de la rue de Metz.The Grand-Hotel, built by the Toulousan Société Grenobloise on the cusp of the 20th century, is an important building for the city of Toulouse. It was part of an urban operation of considerable importance: the opening of the rue de Metz where the SIGT financed the construction of eleven buildings. This paper seeks to show the particularity of the architectural program which presided over the construction of the Grand-Hotel within this complex real estate operation, conneted with the extension of the rue de Metz.El Grand-Hôtel, edificado por la Société Grenobloise a principios del siglo XX, es un edificio muy importante para la ciudad de Toulouse. Forma parte de una gran reforma urbana: la apertura de la rue de Metz, para lo cual la SIGT financió la construcción de once edificios. Depuis 2003, les Archives municipales de Toulouse gèrent, mutualisent, mettent en valeur et diffusent des données sur le patrimoine toulousain grâce à un site Internet cartographique faisant d’Urban-Hist un véritable outil de connaissance du patrimoine toulousain. Il rend accessibles les données de l’inventaire, des archives et de l’archéologie sur le patrimoine urbain de la ville de Toulouse.La seconde version est composée de deux éléments principaux : Urban-Hist gestion et Urban-Hist publication. Il s’agit d’une seule et unique application, qui, à partir d’interfaces différentes, a plusieurs finalités : l’acquisition et la gestion des données d’une part, la publication d’autre part.Connaître nos territoires par le biais d’un système d’information géographique peut nous aider à mieux comprendre leur forme actuelle et à mieux projeter leur forme future.Since 2003, the Archives municipales de Toulouse have developed a website integrating interactive spatial data, and are permanently updating it with new data on Toulouse’s heritage, thus making of Urban-Hist a tool that allows furthering our knowledge of the town.Data do include archaeological researches, archives documents, as well as the whole results of the Inventaire’s mission on buildings’heritage.All in a single application, Urban-Hist different interfaces have different purposes: acquiring new historical data and allowing the administrators to manage and update them daily, whilst in the meantime the public has access to its whole content. This is why the new version of Urban-Hist is made of two distinct elements: Urban-Hist Gestion and Urban-Hist Publication.Knowing our territories via a Spatial Data Infrastructure will help to understand the shape and evolution of the town, and will help foreseeing and planning the future of it.Desde 2003, los Archivos municipales de Toulouse (Tolosa de Francia) gestionan, mutualizan, ponen de realce y difunden los datos sobre el patrimonio tolosano merced a una página web de cartografía, que hace de Urban-Hist una valiosa herramienta para conocer dicho patrimonio. Da fácil acceso a los datos del inventario, de los archivos y de la arqueología tocantes al patrimonio urbano de Toulouse.La segunda versión de Urban-Hist se compone de dos elementos principales: Urban Hist gestión y Urban-Hist publicación. Se trata de una sola y única aplicación que, a partir de diferentes interfaces, apunta a varias finalidades: por una parte, la adquisición y la gestión de datos, por otra, la publicación de los mismos.Conocer nuestros territorios mediante un sistema de información geográfica puede ayudarnos a comprender mejor su configuración actual y a concebir proyectos más pertinentes para su configuración futura

Toulouse, une métropole méridionale

De la fondation de la cité romaine au XXIe siècle, de Tolosa à Toulouse, la ville de la Garonne a préservé son rôle de métropole régionale. Le Congrès de la Fédération historique de Midi-Pyrénées, tenu en 2008 à l’université de Toulouse-Le Mirail, a réuni plus de 80 intervenants, dont les communications rassemblées apportent dans cet ouvrage l’essentiel des recherches les plus récentes. La première partie porte sur ce qui a fait la force de la ville : la formation de son territoire et son urbanisation, les caractères de sa société, les divers pouvoirs qui y siègent, ses activités économiques, commerciales comme industrielles. Un bilan qui remet en cause bien des idées reçues en montrant la vitalité dont ont fait preuve ses habitants au fil des siècles ! La deuxième partie offre des communications qui se sont attachées à l’activité culturelle dont Toulouse a été un foyer particulièrement actif dans sa longue histoire. Celle-ci a revêtu des formes multiples, parfois inattendues. La religion l’a marquée de son empreinte, longtemps sous l’ascendant de l’Église catholique, avant que la ville ne fasse place à d’autres croyances. Elle s’est affirmée aussi comme un pôle d’élaboration et de transmission du savoir, dans lequel l’université a pris naturellement sa place. Elle a entretenu un goût, et même une passion, pour la littérature, la musique, les arts plastiques, autant d’expressions qui ont contribué à modeler la personnalité de la « ville rose »
