IoT-Enabled Smart Healthcare Infrastructure Maximises Energy Efficiency

    Get PDF
Advancements in IoT-based applications have become the cutting-edge technology among researchers due to the wide availability of the Internet. In order to make the application more user-friendly, Android-based and Web-based technologies have become increasingly important in this cutting-edge technology. Smart cities, Internet of Things(IoT), Smart health care systems are the technology of the future. A combination of numerous systems focusing on monitoring different components of the smart city (such as water, e-health, gas,  power monitoring and emergency scenario detection) can be used to make the city more sustainable and secure. In smart cities, energy consumption is particularly important for e-health. An optimization approach is provided in this paper to reduce total network energy usage. When compared to previous methods, the overall performance has improved by 57.89%

The opportunities for researchers are enhanced with the progression in the technology of communication and computing. The ease in life of many people like farmers, educators, administers, managers, etc., is increased with more inventions of the researchers using this new technology. The progressive technology for data management is providing more amount of information. However, is the user able to access the needed information when required? This question rises to the more questions like, how to identify whether the information is as per the requirement? Whether a user is authorized or not? The answer for all the questions is to make the support aware of the context. Therefore, the present technology needs to be modified to make the system aware about the context. The process of demonstrating the services based on the context using Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) with the help of illustration on mango crop is emphasized in this paper. There are many serious problems like unsuitable fertilizer use, wrong selection of crops in wrong seasons, water waste, poor publicizing in the case of farming. These problems are addressed using the ubiquitous context aware middleware architecture for precision agriculture in mango crop

Performance Comparison between Nonidentical Segmented Exponential Concave and Nonidentical Segmented Exponential Convex Serrated CATRs

This paper presented a theoretical and numerical assessment for nonidentical segmented exponential- (NISE-) convex and NISE-concave serrated plane CATRs by changing number of serrations. The investigation was based on diffraction theory and, more specifically, on the diffraction formulation of Fresnel. The compact antenna test range (CATR) provides uniform illumination within the Fresnel region to the test antenna. Application of serrated edges has been shown to be a good method to control diffraction at the edges of the reflectors. In this paper, the Fresnel fields of NISE-convex and NISE-concave serrated CATRs are analyzed using physical optics (PO) technique. The PO analysis is applied in this paper for plane reflector serrated CATR only. The same analysis is applied to any type of reflector. In this paper, lens-based reflector is not considered. It is observed that NISE-concave serrated CATR gives less ripple and enhanced quiet zone width than NISE-convex

Block-Chain-Based Vaccine Volunteer Records Secure Storage and Service Structure

Accurate and complete vaccine volunteerā€™s data are one valuable asset for clinical research institutions. Privacy protection and the safe storage of vaccine volunteerā€™s data are vital concerns during clinical trial services. The advent of block-chain technology fetches an innovative idea to solve this problem. As a hash chain with the features of decentralization, authentication, and resistibility, blockchain-based technology can be used to safely store vaccine volunteer clinical trial data. In this paper, we proposed a safe storage method to control volunteer personal /clinical trial data based on blockchain with storing on cloud. Also, a service structure for sharing data of volunteerā€™s vaccine clinical trials is defined. Further, volunteer blockchain features are defined and examined. The projected storage and distribution method is independent of any third person and no single person has the complete influence to disturb the processing.

A review on study of Electrokinetic stabilization of expansive soil

Needless to elaborate the harmful effects of the Expansive soil on the light-weight structures, as it is a very common problem faced by the Structural and Geotechnical engineers all over the world. In INDIA, the site having BlackCotton soil force the local engineers to think differently in order to find a way which can improve the ground condition very efficiently. One solution, which is not used worldwide, is the Electrokinetic Treatment which uses the principle of Electroosmosis, Electromigration and Electrocementation, and has been proved the best for fine grained soil. Till now, inadequate studies have been done to prove its efficiency in using it for the expansive soil. Apparently, there may be some reasons why the researchers don't consider this technique useful in such soils. This paper includes the whole and sole of this treatment reckoned from the past studies and its scope in implementation with Expansive soils. Experimental study, both in field and laboratory, followed by its analysis using available software packages, is required to decide the factors of this treatment influencing expansive soil

Secure Communication Model for Dynamic Task Offloading in Multi-Cloud Environment

    Get PDF
As the data is increasing day-by-day, the mobile device storage space is not sufficient to store the complete information and also the computation capacity also is a limited resource which is not sufficient for performing all the required computations. Hence, cloud computing technology is used to overcome these limitations of the mobile device. But security is the main concern in the cloud server. Hence, secure communication model for dynamic task offloading in multi-cloud environment is proposed in this paper. Cloudlet also is used in this model. Triple DES with 2 keys is used during the communication process between the mobile device and cloudlet. Triple DES with 3 keys is used by the cloudlet while offloading the data to cloud server. AES is used by the mobile device while offloading the data to the cloud server. Computation time, communication time, average running time, and energy consumed by the mobile device are the parameters which are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, SCM_DTO. The performance of the proposed system, SCM_DTO is compared with ECDH-SAHE and is proved to be performing better

A bibliometric analysis of the 100 most-cited articles in dental materials journals

    Get PDF
Background: Bibliometric studies are important as they provide an overview of research and scientific activity in a specific field. But studies of this type to determine the characteristics of the most cited articles in dental materials journals are completely lacking. Aim: To analyze the characteristics of 100 most-cited articles in dental materials journals since its inception through April 2019. Material and methods: Google scholar database was used to retrieve the list of journals titled with the term ā€˜ā€˜dental materialsā€. A search was then conducted under "Publication Name" for each of the selected journals, and the articles were grouped by the category "Times Cited". The 100 highly cited papers published in five journals were contemplated in the eventual inquiry. The final collection was subjected to further scrutiny to determine the nature and characteristics of the documented revelations regard to journal name, year of publication, authors and their country, type of article, and area of research. Results: The 100 most-cited articles were published between 1985 and 2016 with maximum publications during 2001-05. The number of citations was ranging from 1926to 304. Only Dental Materials (97), Dental Materials Journal (3), shared the list. Ā The United States tops the list with 25 articles followed by Germany (12) and Belgium (11). Dental composites and adhesives were the most commonly addressed topics in dental materials journals. Conclusions: This bibliometric analysis connoted the evolving and interesting research trends in dental material science
