    SUBSTANCJE SENSYBILIZUJĄCE I ICH WPŁYW NA SPRAWNOŚĆ BARWNIKOWYCH OGNIW SŁONECZNYCH (DSSC): PRZEGLĄD

    Since early 1990s dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) has been developed by many research groups all over the World. This paper presents a review of researches focusing on photosensitizer influence on DSSC efficiency. Variety of dye substance has been analyzed. The highest efficiency around 11.2% has been noted for ruthenium-based DSSC devices. Natural dyes allowed to reach 4.6%. The most metal-free organic dyes resulted in efficiency ranged from 5% to 9%, however, some of them (e.g. Y123) allowed to obtain devices with efficiencies equal to 10.3%. Co-sensitization is the new approach which results in efficiencies up to 14.3%.Od początku lat 90 XX wieku ogniwa barwnikowe przyciągają uwagę naukowców na całym świecie. Praca ta poświęcona jest przeglądowi badań dotyczących wpływowi substancji sensybilizujących na sprawność barwnikowych ogniw słonecznych (DSSC). Największą sprawność uzyskują ogniwa sensybilizowane barwnikami na bazie rutenu, podczas gdy barwniki naturalne pozwalają na pracę z wydajnością 4,6%. Sprawność konwersji energii ogniw uczulanych barwnikami organicznymi wynosi 5-9%, jednakże niektóre z nich, np. Y123 pozwalają na uzyskanie wydajności rzędu 10,3%. Zastosowanie kilku barwników do sensybilizacji jest nowym podejściem, które przekłada się na wartości sprawności nawet do 14,3%

    The community all over the World has to tackle the problem of depletion of fossil fuels, overusing the natural resources, and growing emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. It is related to the growing demand for electricity due to global development in every field. The solution to this problem can be production clean, solar energy with the use of photovoltaic modules. However, the installation of PV system in urban areas is very often impossible because of high-density citie’s architecture. The objective of this study was to analyze building applied photovoltaic system configurations for the flat rooftop of the detached house in Warsaw, Poland. Four configurations were analyzed taking into consideration the area of the rooftop, different tilt angles of PV modules, and shading areas. The system configuration as well as monthly energy output were carried out by the use of DDS-Cad software. The ecological aspect of the photovoltaic installation was also analyzed. A significant reduction of greenhouse gases was observed based on conducted calculations.Społeczeństwo na całym świcie musi zmierzyć się z problememami dotyczącymi wyczerpywania się zasobów paliw kopalnych, zbyt dużego wykorzystywania naturalnych zasobów oraz rosnącej emisji szkodliwych gazów cieplarnianych do atmosfery. Związane jest to bezpośrednio z rosnącym zapotrzebowaniem na energię elektryczną z uwagi na globalny rozwój w każdej dziedzinie. Rozwiązaniem tego problemu może być produkowanie „czystej” energii ze Słońca za pomocą modułów fotowoltaicznych. Jednakże, zastosowanie systemów fotowoltaicznych na obszarach miejskich bardzo często może być wręcz niemożliwa z powodu bardzo gęstej zabudowy miejskiej. Celem niniejszej pracy była analiza konfiguracji systemów fotowoltaicznych zlokalizowanych na dachu budynku wolnostojącego w Warszawie, Polska. Cztery konfiguracje systemu zostały poddane analizie przy uwzględnieniu dostępnej powierzchni dachu, kąta nachylenia modułów fotowoltaicznych oraz stref zacienienia. Konfiguracja systemu, jak również miesięczne uzyski energii elektrycznej zostały wykonane przy pomocy programu DDS-Cad. Ekologiczne aspekty zastosowania systemów fotowoltaicznych zostały również przeanalizowane w niniejszej pracy. Znacząca redukcja gazów cieplarnianych została zaobserwowana na podstawie przeprowadzonych obliczeń

    Structure and stability of non-symmetric Burgers vortices

    We investigate, numerically and analytically, the structure and stability of steady and quasi-steady solutions of the Navier–Stokes equations corresponding to stretched vortices embedded in a uniform non-symmetric straining field, ([alpha]x, [beta]y, [gamma]z), [alpha]+[beta]+[gamma]=0, one principal axis of extensional strain of which is aligned with the vorticity. These are known as non-symmetric Burgers vortices (Robinson & Saffman 1984). We consider vortex Reynolds numbers R=[Gamma]/(2[pi]v) where [Gamma] is the vortex circulation and v the kinematic viscosity, in the range R=1[minus sign]104, and a broad range of strain ratios [lambda]=([beta][minus sign][alpha])/([beta]+[alpha]) including [lambda]>1, and in some cases [lambda][dbl greater-than sign]1. A pseudo-spectral method is used to obtain numerical solutions corresponding to steady and quasi-steady vortex states over our whole (R, [lambda]) parameter space including [lambda] where arguments proposed by Moffatt, Kida & Ohkitani (1994) demonstrate the non-existence of strictly steady solutions. When [lambda][dbl greater-than sign]1, R[dbl greater-than sign]1 and [epsilon][identical with][lambda]/R[double less-than sign]1, we find an accurate asymptotic form for the vorticity in a region 11. An iterative technique based on the power method is used to estimate the largest eigenvalues for the non-symmetric case [lambda]>0. Stability is found for 0[less-than-or-eq, slant][lambda][less-than-or-eq, slant]1, and a neutrally convective mode of instability is found and analysed for [lambda]>1. Our general conclusion is that the generalized non-symmetric Burgers vortex is unconditionally stable to two-dimensional disturbances for all R, 0[less-than-or-eq, slant][lambda][less-than-or-eq, slant]1, and that when [lambda]>1, the vortex will decay only through exponentially slow leakage of vorticity, indicating extreme robustness in this case
