Максимальное приближение образовательной среды к условиям реального производства позволит осуществить компетентностный практико-ориентированный подход в подготовке высококвалифицированных специалистов для российского машиностроения

Canard Cycles and Poincar\'e Index of Non-Smooth Vector Fields on the Plane

This paper is concerned with closed orbits of non-smooth vector fields on the plane. For a subclass of non-smooth vector fields we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of canard kind solutions. By means of a regularization we prove that the canard cycles are singular orbits of singular perturbation problems which are limit periodic sets of a sequence of limit cycles. Moreover, we generalize the Poincar\'e Index for non-smooth vector fields.Comment: 20 pages, 25 figure

The Small-angle X-Ray Scattering Investigation of Advanced Beryllium Materials

    Get PDF
The small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) technique allows to determine size distributions of inhomogeneities in materials and to predict their properties in Xray optics devices. A number of beryllium materials for the manufacturing of X-ray optics (refractive lenses and speckle suppressors) have been studied by the SAXS.Various composite materials based on porous beryllium have been studied. The effect of adding detonation nanodiamonds to the beryllium matrix on the scattering ability of the material is discussed. Keywords: porous beryllium, SAXS, detonation nanodiamonds, speckle-suppresso

A method of studying thermochemical conversion of single biomass particles in an intense air flow

There are many methods for obtaining kinetic data of thermochemical conversion of fuel particles. These methods to some extent reproduce the conditions of industrial processes. At the same time, there is a lack of methods reproducing the conditions of wood particles gasification in downdraft gasifier. In this process, raw fuel enters the hot reactor region with intense air jets blowing through the tuyeres. It is difficult to directly measure the weight of particles under these conditions due to the effect of gas flow. The authors proposed a research method in accordance with which the sample is introduced into a heated furnace and placed in the tuyere flow. The sample is combusted for a certain time then removed from the furnace and quickly quenched. The method allows reproducing the dynamics of changes in temperature, mass, volume, shape and structure of the inner layers of particles. It provides visual observations of the process, high heating rate of wood samples (750-5500 °C min-1) and large amount of data sufficient for statistical processing. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.Russian Foundation for Basic Research, RFBR: 18-38-00774The reported study was funded by RFBR according to the research project № 18-38-00774

Authors gratefully acknowledge the financial support from the Latvian Science Council grant LZP-2018/2-0358 . The research leading to this result has been supported by the project CALIPSO plus under the Grant Agreement 730872 from the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation HORIZON2020 . The work of A.P.K. was supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation , state contracts No. 11.6181.2017/ITR .Cerium doped Gd3Ga3Al2O12 (GGAG) single crystals as well as GGAG:Ce single crystals co-doped by divalent (Mg2+, Ca2+), trivalent (Sc3+) or tetravalent (Zr4+, Ti4+) ions have been studied by means of the excitation luminescence spectroscopy in vacuum ultraviolet spectral range. Synchrotron radiation from the undulator beam was utilized for the luminescence excitation in the energy range from 4.5 to 800 eV. The influence of the co-dopant ions on the excitonic transitions as well as on the intrinsic defects in GGAG was revealed examining the luminescence emission and excitation spectra of both Gd3+ and Ce3+ ions in all single crystals studied. Special attention was paid to the analysis of Ce3+ excitation spectra in VUV spectral range (4.5–45 eV) where multiplication of electronic excitation (MEE) processes occur. It was obtained that GGAG:Ce single crystals having different co-dopant ions reveal distinguished efficiency of MEE. The role of intrinsic defects in MEE processes in the co-doped GGAG:Ce single crystals was elucidated.Latvian Science Council LZP-2018/2-0358,730872; Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation 11.6181.2017/ITR; Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia as the Center of Excellence has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Framework Programme H2020-WIDESPREAD-01-2016-2017-TeamingPhase2 under grant agreement No. 739508, project CAMART²https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2211379719334527?via%3Dihu

Studyof resistance of pathogenic and opportunistic fungi toantimycotics

The widespread use of antimycotic agents for the treatment of mycoses in humans and animals is of concern to medical and veterinary specialists due to the emergence of resistance of pathogenic and opportunistic fungi to antifungal agents. In recent years, information has been accumulated on the various molecular mechanisms underlying this phenomenon, but in-depth studies are needed to successfully predict resistance in various groups of fungi. To treat and prevent fungal infections several groups of antimycotics are used, where azoles and allylamines are the most frequent ones, which leads to resistance development in pathogenic and opportunistic fungi. The article presents the results of molecular methods identification of azole-resistant Candida albicans isolates and terbinafine-resistant Trichophyton isolates. The analysis of gene ERG11 nucleotide sequences of 10 Candida albicans isolates, recovered from different animal species, enabled the division of phenotypically resistant and susceptible strains, but could not differentiate between the strains, which have dose-dependent resistance to azoles. Study of single nucleotide polymorphisms in gene SQLE, associated with the resistance development to terbinafine in 12 fungal isolates of genus Trichophyton, did not allow grading them by their resistance, which is likely associated with another resistance mechanism, which can be observed in these strains. The results obtained can serve as a basis for the use of molecular methods to characterize fungi of Candida and Trichophyton genera, however, taking into account the biological features of pathogens from different groups it is reasonable to use several significant genome regions or the results of the whole genome sequencing, as well as the gene expression analysis for successful forecasting of potential resistance
