Regulation regarding the protection of the environment imposed in the 90’s and the expected modifications of suds legislation in the near future, bring new challenge in a control of industrial fluids at all their stages. This article describes the expectations in terms of corrosion caused by chlorides and analyses the availability of metallurgical options for helping in the solution of suds as a problem.
