The article examines the state of the oil market in Ukraine. The article explores the dynamics of oil consumption in Ukraine. In this article the main consumers and producers of fuel in Ukraine is defined. The article analyzes the dynamics of oil refining. The dynamics of oil exports from Ukraine is investigated. The paper analyzes the demand for crude oil in Ukraine. It is established that the oil market in Ukraine has significant impact on the dependence of domestic producers of light oil products from oil imports. We investigated the trend of oil production in Ukraine, and determined its steady decline in recent years. Еhe imports of crude oil and petroleum products was analyzed . The main importers of the Ukraine was defined. A comparative analysis of the supply and demand of oil in the Ukrainian market, based on the balance of the crude oil market was made. We investigated the geographical, historical and political terms of trade of crude oil in Ukraine. Pricing mechanisms of major traders of crude oil in Ukraine were analyzed. Dynamics of volumes and prices for crude oil according to the auctions in 2012 was investigated. An analysis of the national market of crude oil has been determined that: the trend of trade crude oil in Ukraine due to the reduction in oil refining, which, in turn, is caused by displacement from the national market of motor fuel domestic fuel imports, the main cause of poor competitiveness of the domestic motor fuel is its quality does not meet modern standards and their corresponding price, low quality of domestic production of motor fuels, the dominant use for its production of low-quality (high-sulfur) import (Russian) oil; overall competitiveness of the domestic oil considered low.<br>В статье анализируется состояние рынка нефти в Украине. Исследована динамика потребления нефти в Украине. Определены основные потребители и производители моторного топлива в Украине. Проанализирована динамика объемов переработки нефти. Рассмотрена динамика экспорта нефти из Украины. Проанализирован спрос на нефть сырую в Украине и определено, что на нефтяной рынок Украины существенным образом влияет зависимость отечественных производителей светлых нефтепродуктов от импортных поставок нефти. Исследована тенденция добычи нефти в Украине и определено ее неуклонное снижение в последние годы. Проанализирована географическая структура импорта нефти и нефтепродуктов сырых. Определены основные их импортеры в Украину. Проведен сравнительный анализ спроса и предложения нефти на украинском рынке на основе баланса рынка сырой нефти. Исследованы географические, исторические и политические условия торговли сырой нефтью в Украине. Проанализированы механизмы ценообразования основных торговцев сырой нефтью в Украине и исследована динамика объемов реализации и цен на сырую нефть по данным аукционов в 2012 г. В результате анализа национального рынка сырой нефти определено, что: тенденция торговли сырой нефтью на рынке Украины обусловлена сокращением объемов переработки нефти, которое, в свою очередь, вызвано вытеснением с национального рынка отечественного топлива импортом; основной причиной неудовлетворительной конкурентоспособности отечественного моторного топлива является его качество, не соответствующее требованиям современных стандартов и не соответствующая им цена; низкое качество моторного топлива отечественного производства определяется преобладающим использованием для его производства низкокачественной (высокосернистой) импортной (российской) нефти; в целом конкурентоспособность отечественной нефтеперерабатывающей признана низкой

Cardiac myosin activation with omecamtiv mecarbil in systolic heart failure

BACKGROUND The selective cardiac myosin activator omecamtiv mecarbil has been shown to improve cardiac function in patients with heart failure with a reduced ejection fraction. Its effect on cardiovascular outcomes is unknown. METHODS We randomly assigned 8256 patients (inpatients and outpatients) with symptomatic chronic heart failure and an ejection fraction of 35% or less to receive omecamtiv mecarbil (using pharmacokinetic-guided doses of 25 mg, 37.5 mg, or 50 mg twice daily) or placebo, in addition to standard heart-failure therapy. The primary outcome was a composite of a first heart-failure event (hospitalization or urgent visit for heart failure) or death from cardiovascular causes. RESULTS During a median of 21.8 months, a primary-outcome event occurred in 1523 of 4120 patients (37.0%) in the omecamtiv mecarbil group and in 1607 of 4112 patients (39.1%) in the placebo group (hazard ratio, 0.92; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.86 to 0.99; P = 0.03). A total of 808 patients (19.6%) and 798 patients (19.4%), respectively, died from cardiovascular causes (hazard ratio, 1.01; 95% CI, 0.92 to 1.11). There was no significant difference between groups in the change from baseline on the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire total symptom score. At week 24, the change from baseline for the median N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide level was 10% lower in the omecamtiv mecarbil group than in the placebo group; the median cardiac troponin I level was 4 ng per liter higher. The frequency of cardiac ischemic and ventricular arrhythmia events was similar in the two groups. CONCLUSIONS Among patients with heart failure and a reduced ejection, those who received omecamtiv mecarbil had a lower incidence of a composite of a heart-failure event or death from cardiovascular causes than those who received placebo.
