Cardiovascular magnetic resonance findings in a case of Danon disease

Danon disease is a rare X-linked dominant lysosomal glycogen storage disease that can lead to severe ventricular hypertrophy and heart failure. We report a case of Danon disease with cardiac involvement evaluated with cardiovascular magnetic resonance, including late gadolinium enhancement and perfusion studies

Influence of local thermal bridge on designing metal-glass structures

Autorzy przedstawili obowiązujące wytyczne dotyczące temperatury powierzchni wewnętrznej koniecznej do uniknięcia krytycznej wilgotności powierzchni oraz obliczania współczynnika przenikania ciepła.The aim of this article is to describe the criteria in design process of metal-glass facades. In successful design and efficiently quality designers should remember about value internal and external temperature factor. Too high thermal insulation parameters of basic elements like mullion, transom, gasket and glass panel may cause a thermal bridge. Condensation and thermal comfort problems could be a reason fast destroy the system

Faults of designing and using metal-glass structures

The aim of the article is taking a closer look at the problems concerning technical condition assessment with regard to correctness of project goals of structures metal-glass facade. Made is reference to the manner of their execution and proper functioning. The issue of accordance to good engineering practice of adapting changes in the system and adjusting the fitted solutions as reccomended by the producers. Above mentioned issues were dealt with given an example of high-rise building with applied curtain wall and a residential building where a filling structure is mounted
