    Design Support of Transportation Routing for a Multi Layered Factory

    Recently, it becomes important to improve transportation capability to attain high productivity in manufacturing. One of the necessary schemes to attain the purpose is that the floor layout is initially to be optimized. After the floor layout is determined, reasonable equipment position for transportation is decided. Then the design of the transportation route is to be determined. In this paper, design support system for transportation routing, based on agent method is proposed. To optimize the transportation route, the working space by the side of the equipment is to be prepared. Starting from given floor layout of a three layered factory, an appropriate transportation route is pursuit using Ant algorithm. To check the applicability of the proposed method, case studies are carried out under various constraints and objective functions, and its effects were verified

    Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is the preferred dialysis modality in critical care settings for patients with hemodynamic instability. Nafamostat mesylate (NM) is an anticoagulant commonly used (mainly in Japan) during CRRT in patients with high bleeding risk. In this study, we evaluated the pharmacokinetics of NM during CRRT. Patients undergoing CRRT therapy and using NM as the anticoagulant in the intensive care unit were enrolled in the study. Blood was collected from the CRRT circuit just after blood removal, just before and after the membrane for CRRT, and from the filtrates after the membrane. NM concentrations were measured using high-performance liquid chromatography. NM was detected in the intracorporeal circulation during CRRT in some cases, and liver enzymes were severely elevated in almost all of the cases. Coagulation time was prolonged even before the initiation of NM administration in these cases and may be associated with liver damage. This study suggests that NM dosage should take into account liver damage assessed by elevated liver enzymes.博士(医学)・乙第1531号・令和5年3月15

    Global Zero Emission Scenario: Role of Innovative Technologies

    AbstractThis study investigated a zero emission scenario with following two originalities compared to various existing studies. One is that we based on A1T society of SRES (Special Report on Emissions Scenario) of IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) compared to existing studies on those of B1 or B2. The second one is that various innovative and radical technologies were considered and incorporated, such as biomass energy with CCS (BECCS), and advanced nuclear technologies including hydrogen or synfuel production. We applied a global modeling, whose energies, materials, and biomass and foods supply costs were minimized by linear programing with time horizon up to 2150. We found following features of energy supply structure in A1T scenario. Since the electric demand in A1T scenario in 2100 is two times larger than the others, 1) renewable energy which solely produce electricity, nuclear, and fossil energy with CCS (FECCS) especially coal are main sources of electricity, 2) renewable which can supply heat, namely BECCS and geothermal, satisfies the sector, and 3) hydrogen from coal is introduced in transport sector. It can be concluded that the zero emission energy systems with global economic growth will be possible, by development and deployment of ambitious advanced energy technologies

    Coincidence between transcriptome analyses on different microarray platforms using a parametric framework

    A parametric framework for the analysis of transcriptome data is demonstrated to yield coincident results when applied to data acquired using two different microarray platforms. Discrepancies among transcriptome studies are frequently reported, casting doubt on the reliability of collected data. The inconsistency among observations can be largely attributed to differences among the analytical frameworks employed for data analysis. The existing frameworks normalizes data against a standard determined from the data to be analyzed. In the present study, a parametric framework based on a strict model for normalization is applied to data acquired using an in-house printed chip and GeneChip. The framework is based on a common statistical characteristic of microarray data, and each data is normalized on the basis of a linear relationship with this model. In the proposed framework, the expressional changes observed and genes selected are coincident between platforms, achieving superior universality of data compared to other methods

    MOIRCS Deep Survey. VII: NIR Morphologies of Star-forming Galaxies at Redshift z~1

    We investigate rest-frame near-infrared (NIR) morphologies of a sample of 139 galaxies with M_{s} >= 1 x 10^{10} M_{sun} at z=0.8-1.2 in the GOODS-North field using our deep NIR imaging data (MOIRCS Deep Survey, MODS). We focus on Luminous Infrared Galaxies (LIRGs), which dominate high star formation rate (SFR) density at z~1, in the sample identified by cross-correlating with the Spitzer/MIPS 24um source catalog. We perform two-dimensional light profile fitting of the z~1 galaxies in the Ks-band (rest-frame J-band) with a single component Sersic model. We find that at z~1, ~90% of LIRGs have low Sersic indices (n<2.5, similar to disk-like galaxies) in the Ks-band, and those disk-like LIRGs consist of ~60% of the whole disk-like sample above M_{s} >= 3 x 10^{10} M_{sun}. The z~1 disk-like LIRGs are comparable or ~20% small at a maximum in size compared to local disk-like galaxies in the same stellar mass range. If we examine rest-frame UV-optical morphologies using the HST/ACS images, the rest-frame B-band sizes of the z~1 disk-like galaxies are comparable to those of the local disk-like galaxies as reported by previous studies on size evolution of disk-like galaxies in the rest-frame optical band. Measuring color gradients (galaxy sizes as a function of wavelength) of the z~1 and local disk-like galaxies, we find that the z~1 disk-like galaxies have 3-5 times steeper color gradient than the local ones. Our results indicate that (i) more than a half of relatively massive disk-like galaxies at z~1 are in violent star formation epochs observed as LIRGs, and also (ii) most of those LIRGs are constructing their fundamental disk structure vigorously. The high SFR density in the universe at z~1 may be dominated by such star formation in disk region in massive galaxies.Comment: 16 pages, 15 figures, accepted for publication in PASJ.     Assembly of Massive Galaxies in a High-z Protocluster

    We present the results of wide-field deep JHK imaging of the SSA22 field using MOIRCS instrument equipped with Subaru telescope. The observed field is 112 arcmin^2 in area, which covers the z=3.1 protocluster characterized by the overdensities of Ly Alpha emitters (LAEs) and Ly Alpha Blobs (LABs). The 5 sigma limiting magnitude is K_{AB} = 24.3. We extract the potential protocluster members from the K-selected sample by using the multi-band photometric-redshift selection as well as the simple color cut for distant red galaxies (DRGs; J-K_{AB}>1.4). The surface number density of DRGs in our observed fields shows clear excess compared with those in the blank fields, and the location of the densest area whose projected overdensity is twice the average coincides with the large-scale density peak of LAEs. We also found that K-band counterparts with z_{phot} = 3.1 are detected for 75% (15/20) of the LABs within their Ly Alpha halo, and the 40 % (8/20) of LABs have multiple components, which gives a direct evidence of the hierarchical multiple merging in galaxy formation. The stellar mass ofLABs correlates with their luminosity, isophotal area, and the Ly Alpha velocity widths, implying that the physical scale and the dynamical motion of Ly Alpha emission are closely related to their previous star-formation activities. Highly dust-obscured galaxies such as hyper extremely red objects (HEROs; J-K_{AB}>2.1) and plausible K-band counterparts of submillimeter sources are also populated in the high density region.Comment: 21pages, accepted for publication in Astrophysical Journa
