An Information Security Using DNA Cryptography along with AES Algorithm
Securing information is the most important need of not only the business world but also it’s highly essential in all the other major sectors. The secured data storage capacity along with security during data transit is also an important factor. In this paper DNA based security technique is proposed as an information carrier, the new data securing method can be adopted by harnessing the advantages of DNA based AES. This technique will provide multilayer security. The proposed system aims to secure transactional data during communication as it is required when message or data transfer between sender and receiver should be confidential along with integrity and availability.AS the data hiding needs a carrier to hold the data, therefore in order to enhance data security and make the data more confidential effective encryption algorithm is proposed using DNA cryptography. DNA molecules, holds an ability to store, process and transfer data, stimulates the notion of DNA cryptography. This amalgamation of the chemical features of genetic DNA structures along with cryptography confirms the non-vulnerable communication. The current features with reference to DNA cryptography are reviewed and presented here
Ovarian Hemangioma: a rare case in a young girl
The ovary has a rich vascular supply. But the vascular tumors of the ovary are extremely rare. Ovarian masses are mostly discovered accidentally during surgery or imaging. These tumors may rarely be associated with systemic manifestations. Here we report a case of 17 year old young unmarried obese girl who presented with acute pain in abdomen and was treated laproscopically with conservation of ovaries. Histopathology report was suggestive of ovarian haemangioma. The diagnostic challenge and therapeutic rarity of such a tumour in a young unmarried girl has proven to be an exceptional case and an excellent investigative opportunity
Study of obstetric factors in perinatal morbidity and mortality at a tertiary centre
Background: Safe motherhood and child survival have always been a concern for the policymakers but perinatal mortality, especially stillbirths, have not received due attention. There are 5.9 million perinatal deaths worldwide, almost all of which occur in developing countries. Stillbirths account for over half of all perinatal deaths. This study was aimed to determine perinatal mortality rate and related obstetrics risk factors. Perinatal mortality is only a tip of the iceberg, morbidity being much higher. Vital statistics obtained through this study may serve an important source of information to guide the public health policy makers and health care providers in future.Methods: Present observational study was undertaken in a tertiary center to look into various maternal factors and possible cause of perinatal death. All perinatal deaths including stillbirths (SBs) and early neonatal deaths (ENNDs) within 0-7 days of birth after 28 weeks of gestation were analysed. The data was collected through a pre-designed proforma.Results: Perinatal mortality is 66.27/1000 births in our centre, where 37% were intrauterine deaths, 34% were neonatal deaths and 29% were still births. Preterm, pregnancy induced hypertension; abruptio placentae remain the most important factors for perinatal loss.Conclusions: One of the reasons for high perinatal mortality in tertiary centres is because of poor antenatal care at peripheral centres and late referrals. Early detection of obstetric complications and aggressive treatment is one of golden rule to reduce perinatal loss
Study of management of postpartum hemorrhage and its complications
Background: Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is globally one of the most common causes of maternal death, especially in developing country like India. Pregnancy and childbirth involve significant health risks, even to women with no preexisting health problem. The objective of this study was to analyze the role of various interventions in the management of PPH and its complications.Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted in the department of obstetrics and gynecology of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. D Y Patil Medical college, Pimpri, Pune, Maharashtra, India. A total number of 80 cases of postpartum hemorrhage that fulfilled the selection criteria were included. Data collected and analyzed in PPH patients with medical and surgical management.Results: In present study, most of cases were multigravida (60%) and more than 50 percent of patients required blood and blood products. In present study, most of the postpartum bleeding or postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) cases managed by medical methods. Uterotonic drugs (42.5%) This was possible due to early identification and timely intervention.Conclusions: Active management of third stage of labour is recommended in all cases. Seventy percent cases were managed by medical methods while rest of the cases required surgical management. Among the medical management uterotonic drugs and bimanual uterine compression was used while among the surgical methods repair of cervical and vaginal laceration was mostly required
