The authors present results of a comparative evaluation of two therapeutic methods in 400 women suffering from trichomonadosis vaginalis: the patients were divided in two groups: the first one treated at home with drugs as prescribed by the physician. The corresponding drugs were also administered in the other group by the physician. The comparison of the results obtained in both groups showed the superiority of the ambulatory treatment, against home therapy. A high percentage of remote cures was found to depend on the restoration rate of a proper biologic condition of the vagina
