Quasi-exact solutions for two interacting electrons in two-dimensional anisotropic dots
We present an analysis of the two-dimensional Schrodinger equation for two
electrons interacting via Coulombic force and confined in an anizotropic
harmonic potential. The separable case of wy = 2wx is studied particularly
carefully. The closed-form expressions for bound-state energies and the
corresponding eigenfunctions are found at some particular values of wx. For
highly-accurate determination of energy levels at other values of wx, we apply
an efficient scheme based on the Frobenius expansion.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figure
Three strongly correlated charged bosons in a one-dimensional harmonic trap: natural orbital occupancies
We study a one-dimensional system composed of three charged bosons confined
in an external harmonic potential. More precisely, we investigate the
ground-state correlation properties of the system, paying particular attention
to the strong-interaction limit. We explain for the first time the nature of
the degeneracies appearing in this limit in the spectrum of the reduced density
matrix. An explicit representation of the asymptotic natural orbitals and their
occupancies is given in terms of some integral equations.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, To appear in European Physical Journal
Application of the Frobenius method to the Schrodinger equation for a spherically symmetric potential: anharmonic oscillator
The power series method has been adapted to compute the spectrum of the
Schrodinger equation for central potential of the form . The bound-state energies
are given as zeros of a calculable function, if the potential is confined in a
spherical box. For an unconfined potential the interval bounding the energy
eigenvalues can be determined in a similar way with an arbitrarily chosen
precision. The very accurate results for various spherically symmetric
anharmonic potentials are presented.Comment: 16 pages, 5 figures, published in J. Phys
Ground-state correlation properties of charged bosons trapped in strongly anisotropic harmonic potentials
We study systems of a few charged bosons contained within a strongly
anisotropic harmonic trap. A detailed examination of the ground-state
correlation properties of two-, three-, and four-particle systems is carried
out within the framework of the single-mode approximation of the transverse
components. The linear correlation entropy of the quasi-1D systems is discussed
in dependence on the confinement anisotropy and compared with a strictly 1D
limit. Only at weak interaction the correlation properties depend strongly on
the anisotropy parameter.Comment: 5 pages, 6 figure
Production of biomass for energy purposes on the rural areas of Lubelskie voivodeship
W artykule omówione zostały stan obecny i perspektywy rozwoju OZE na Lubelszczyźnie. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono biomasie pochodzenia rolniczego, która ma i będzie mieć w województwie lubelskim największe znaczenie spośród wszystkich odnawialnych źródeł energii. The paper discusses the current state and prospects of development of RES in the Lublin region. Particular attention was paid to the biomass of agricultural origin, which is now and will be the most important of all the renewable energy sources in Lubelskie voivodeship
Szacowanie zapotrzebowania na energię jednostki terytorialnej - problemy metodyczne
Subject and purpose of work: The aim of the study is to identify methodological problems, which may be encountered during the preparation of the energy balance of a territorial unit, along with indications of ways to solve them. Materials and methods: Problems were identified during the preparation of the energy balance for two selected rural communes and then they were investigated with reference to the literature on this subject. Results: Estimating the energy demand of a local government unit requires proper identification of the groups of energy consumers, divided into facilities owned or co-owned by communes and ones independent from commune authorities. The latter group is divided further, into households, businesses, farms. For each of the users different methods of obtaining data may be needed: a survey and analysis of statistical data, analysis of financial documents, evaluation of the buildings’ age. Generally, however, preparing an energy balance statement requires many simultaneous approaches, and the combination of multi-criterion analysis provides the most reliable picture of the problem. Conclusions: The scope of the data needed to compile an energy balance statement for local government units, depends on the purpose of the developed analysis. Methodological handbooks and training materials on this subject are helpful, but the developed methodologies may need to be modified and adapted to specific conditions.Przedmiot i cel pracy: Celem pracy jest wskazanie problemów metodycznych, na jakie napotkać można podczas sporządzania bilansu energetycznego jednostki terytorialnej, wraz ze wskazaniami sposobów ich rozwiązania. Materiały i metody: Problemy zidentyfikowano podczas sporządzania bilansu energetycznego dwu wybranych gmin wiejskich, a następnie skonfrontowano z literaturą przedmiotu. Najczęściej jednak sporządzenie bilansu energetycznego wymaga stosowania wielu podejść równocześnie, a połączenie wyników analizy wielokryterialnej daje najbardziej rzetelny obraz badanego problemu. Wnioski: Zakres danych, potrzebnych do sporządzenia bilansu energetycznego jednostki samorządu terytorialnego, zależy od celu opracowania analizy. Poradniki metodyczne i materiały szkoleniowe na ten temat są pomocne, jednak opracowane metodyki mogą wymagać modyfikacji i dostosowania do konkretnych warunków
Wykorzystanie odnawialnych źródeł energii w wybranych obiektach turystycznych
Subject and purpose of work: The aim of the work is the analysis of possibilities of using different renewable energy sources (RES) in tourism facilities and the effects caused by such installations. Materials and methods: Empirical material is formed by tourist objects of different scale of service provision in which RES have functioned for several years and the users are able to assess the advantages and disadvantages of the applied solutions. Results: It was noted that depending on the type and location of an object and the demand for energy one may select such a source and method of conversion into usable energy which to the greatest degree fulfils these needs. Solar energy deserves special attention as the greatest potential occurs during the period of increased tourist traffic. Furthermore, solar energy may be processed into heat and electric energy including island systems. Conclusions: RES installations concern energy for tourist objects which has economic and environmental impact and furthermore they constitute tourist attraction. For objects located far from electricity grid they may constitute the basic source of energy.
