Current distribution and current efficiency in pulsed current plating of nickel

A mathematical model is presented to obtain the current distribution and current efficiency on a rotating disk electrode under controlled current condition. The calculated results compare well with experiments performed using a nickel/nickel sulfate system in the presence of boric acid, The current density is highly nonuniform due to the ohmic drop in the electrolyte.
