On the metabolism of "Prenazone"
Investigation of the fate of 3H - "Prenazone" in rats indicated that 90% of the administered radioactivity is excreted in urine and feces 48h after injection. Feces constitute the main route of excretion since 70% of the radioactivity is recovered from them, while only 30% is excreted in the urine six days after administration. Negligible amounts of unchanged prenazone are excreted in the urine while most of the urinary radioactivity corresponds to biotransformation products. Some preliminary results on the metabolism of the drug in humans are also presented. © 1975
