    Not AvailableA STUDY WAS CONDUCTED ON SILTY LOAM OF DOON VALLEY TO DEVELOP THE APPROPRIATE CONSERVATION TILLAGE TECHNOLOGY BY THE USE OF DIFFERENT TILLAGE SYSTEMS WITH 0,2 AND 4 t/ha OF WEED MULCH FOR RAINFED WHEAT. IT IS INFERRED THAT DEEP TILLAGE SYSTEM INCREASED MOISTURE CONTENT OF SEED ZONE, REDUCED BULK DENSITY BY 3-8 % AND INCREASED THE INFILTRATION RATE 2-3 FOLDS AS COMPARED TO SHALLOW MINIMUM AND MINIMUM TILLAGE SYSTEMS.     Not AvailableA WEIGHING TYPE LYSIMETER WAS USED FOR FOUR YEARS (1985-86 TO 1988 -89) TO STUDY THE EVAPOTRANSPIRATION AND OTHER COMPONENTS OF HYDROLOGIC CYCLE OF RAINFED JUVENILE EUCALYPTUS HYBRID. WATER DISPOSITION OF EUCALYPTUS HYBRID REVEALED THAT, ON AN AVERAGE , OUT OF 1618 mm ANNUAL RAINFALL, 1010 mm WAS UTILISED FOR EVAPOTRANSPIRATION BY THE TREE , 395 mm ACCOUNTED FOR RUNOFF , 164 mm FOR SEEPAGE AND THE REMAINING 4.5 mm CONTRIBUTED TOWARDS RECHARGING THE SOIL PROFILE.
