Perceptions regarding quality standards of managing cardiac emergencies in tertiary care setup; from best evidence to best practice

Cardiovascular diseases are the second leading cause of mortality after all cancers. The situation is far worse in developing countries, where the health care systems are not established strategically to cater the needs of the populace. American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines for managing cardiac patient in ER suggest that, early diagnosis leads to early treatment resulting in reduced hospital length of stay of patients due to CAD (Braunwald et al, 2005). Developing world is now focusing on strengthening emergency cardiology, which is far overlooked in our system. Implementing evidence based research in to practice in our structure will improve cardiology management system and will aid us to control the disease burden. Study Objectives: The study aim is to explore perception of health care work force about the implementation of evidence based practice in to our setup and to explore the strategies to nhance emergency cardiology health care delivery system through health care provider perspectives. Methodology: Exploratory Qualitative approach was used to explore the perceptions of health care professionals to enlighten the best practices in the system and proposing future strategies to further strengthen the program, by means of workforce opinion. Study population involved Management people, Doctors, Registered nurses, and other health care providers. The study conducted in one of the cardiology emergency unit of tertiary care hospital. The study time duration was from July 2017 till September 2017. Results: Results showed that the Strategy was based on the evidence based practice which is productive and overall efficiency of emergency cardiac management has improved. Moreover, Quality and sustainability of the project highly depends on interdisciplinary collaboration between departments. Furthermore, Change process need motivation, resources and strategy. Conclusion: To conclude, the emergency cardiology services are the most important factor to improve the better outcomes of the curative strategy to deal with cardiology associated problems. Indeed the strategy is one of its kinds and is supported with evidence based practices from the western Iworld. It has served remarkable improvement in health care delivery system and has significantly achieved the goals of international guidelines through improving the mechanisms and indicators in tertiary care hospital. Such strategies need more intense analysis on longitudinal aspect in terms of sustainability. It also needs to be formularized and brought up more inter-disciplinary system approach to further strengthen the system. Public facilities can be improved through replicating the strategies in to public hospital

Violence in youth

With the change in socio cultural environment, today\u27s youth is encountering more challenges than ever before. This encounter is influencing heavily on their daily life activities and behaviors. Youth today has become more violent and vigilant than they were before. Some leading factors of this behavior can be marked as more prone towards the gadgets and smart handheld devices, mainly the video games that promotes violence. Other leading factors could be poor parenting, lack of attention and affection from family, and corporal punishments used at home or other institutes for correcting deviant behaviors force them to indulge in activities from which they can express their aggression. Lower IQ level at school and peer also promote the violence in behaviors. This study is therefore conducted to ascertain the important factors that leads to violent behaviors among youth
