The Science and Religion Relationship
In lieu of an abstract, below is the essay\u27s first paragraph.
The widely known debate of science and religion has been around for hundreds of years. This is a widely conflicted debate because it is hard to separate both sides. Though it is easy to see that science and religion explain problems differently. Science answers questions by explaining how and religion wonders why. My thesis is that science and religion contrast each other but also can complement one another and it is important to recognize this

Embryo donation families : a follow-up in middle childhood
Couples who conceive using donated embryos rear a child to whom they are genetically unrelated. It has been suggested that this may have negative consequences for parenting and child development. Findings are presented of the 2nd phase of an exploratory study of families with a child conceived through embryo donation. Seventeen embryo donation families with a 5- to 9-year-old child were compared with 24 adoptive families and 28 in vitro fertilization families. The quality of the mother's parenting and the child's social and emotional development were assessed using standardized interviews and questionnaires administered to mothers and teachers. Embryo donation children were not at increased risk of psychological problems during middle childhood, and the families were generally functioning well. However, higher emotional overinvolvement of embryo donation parents was found, along with more reluctance to disclose the method of family creation. These preliminary findings are discussed in terms of implications regarding the importance of genetic and gestational relationships between parents and children

He6 breakup dynamic polarization potential reexamined
The dynamic polarization potential contribution to the effective interaction between 6He and 208Pb at 27 MeV, due to breakup channels, is recalculated exploiting a recently developed improved model for 6He. The most general features of the long-range attractive and absorptive components remain the same as were found in an earlier study, but the asymptotic magnitudes are reduced by factors of about 2.5 and 4.5, respectively. We draw conclusions from these results, as well as from further calculations at 22 MeV, closer to the Coulomb barrier, and at 32 MeV

Lunar transfer vehicle studies
Lunar transportation architectures exist for several different mission scenarios. Direct flights from Earth are possible, as the Apollo program clearly demonstrated. Alternatively, a space transfer vehicle could be constructed in space by using the Space Station as a base of operations, or multiple vehicles could be launched from Earth and dock in LEO without using a space station for support. Similarly, returning personnel could proceed directly to Earth or rendezvous at the Space Station for a ride back home on the Space Shuttle. Multiple design concepts exist which are compatible with these scenarios and which can support requirements of cargo, personnel, and mission objectives. Regardless of the ultimate mission selected, some technologies will certainly play a key role in the design and operation of advanced lunar transfer vehicles. Current technologies are capable of delivering astronauts to the lunar surface, but improvements are needed to affordably transfer the material and equipment that will be needed for establishing a lunar base. Materials and structures advances, in particular, will enable the development of more capable cryogenic fluid management and propulsion systems, improved structures, and more efficient vehicle assembly, servicing and processing
