Cigarette smoking is a kind of psychic addiction, Nicotine in the cigarette causes addiction. It tends forces smokers to smoke again & again. When once smoker's nicotine enters the blood stream through lungs, it quickly reaches the brain where it affects certain chemical that make one feel normal. Eventually the brainbecomes addicted or dependent on nicotine. 90% of smokers are aware that smoking is harmful. Zyban is the first nicotine free fill that can help stop smoking

A REVIEW ON MODERN TECHNIQUES OF PHARMACEUTICAL ANALYSIS

    Get PDF
Traditionally, pharmaceutical analysis referred to the chemical analysis of drug molecules. However, over the years, modern pharmaceutical analysis has evolved beyond this to encompass combination techniques, high-throughput technologies, chemometrics, microdosing studies, miniaturization, and nanotechnology. These analytical advances are now being employed in all stages of drug discovery and the focus of this review will be on how these technologies are being employed within this process. With new, improved and evolving technologies, as well as new applications for existing technology, the search for new drugs for the prevention and treatment of human disease

Study evaluating chronic abdominal pain and functional abdominal pain syndrome

Background: Chronic abdominal pain (CAP) is a prevalent condition with a wide etiology and is often associated with significant health care utilization. A functional diagnosis, particularly, Functional abdominal pain syndrome (FAPS) is more challenging and has been a less extensively studied condition in adults as compared to other common functional gastrointestinal disorders. Hence, this study attempts to formulate a definite line of investigations, study various causes of chronic abdominal pain and to evaluate FAPS, in a population from Central India. Methods: 100 patients in the age-group of 10-60 years with chronic abdominal pain were selected. A careful history, clinical examination and investigations were performed and final diagnosis was made on the basis of the available data. Results: Eighty-nine out of hundred patients were found to be having some organic disorder causing CAP while eleven had functional gastrointestinal disorders. FAPS was diagnosed in three patients on the basis of Rome III diagnostic criteria while one had unspecified functional abdominal pain. Conclusions: CAP is a multifactorial condition yet, a thorough history coupled with a complete physical examination and investigative profile help to a great extent in diagnosing the cause. FAPS should be diagnosed on the basis of a careful clinical history and characteristic pain behaviour during physical examination. A cost-effective and conservative approach should be adopted for investigations. Unlike the organic causes, FAPS should be treated with a biopsychosocial approach with a variable combination of pharmacological, cognitive-behavioural and psychological interventions.

The casual relationship between financial development and macroeconomic growth

The following paper aims to examine the existence and direction of the causality between financial development and nominal GDP by incorporating time series analysis for 4 emerging Asian economies. The results obtained provide evidence that financial development and macroeconomic growth are mutually causal, supporting the existing literature. However, there is also some support for the view that economic growth leads to financial development but it is not as significant as the existence of the bidirectional causality. Additionally, the findings of the study are harmonious with the view of the World Bank that the above relationship cannot be generalised across various nations as each has a country-specific economic policy. Keywords: Financial Development, Economic Growth, Causality

An Agri vigilance System based on Computer Vision and Deep Learning

In an agricultural-based country like India, farming and farming activities play a vital role in the growth of the economy as it is the main source of GNI (Gross National In-come). This dependence of GNI on agriculture makes it important to address the issues faced by the farmers. The main area of concern for farmers revolves around crops and livestock. Precise farming techniques like cattle counting and crop disease detection are the need of the hour. The introduction of computer vision and deep learning has ena-bled us to make improvements in farming techniques. To accomplish this, a computer vision-based system is proposed which will be implemented using ResNet and YOLOv3-tiny. The proposed system will take images and videos as input and run them on the inference. The output will be updated in the database and the farmer will be noti-fied in case of any inconsistency. The detailed report can be accessed by government agencies. The system will increase efficiency in farming processes like crop monitoring, livestock tracking, crop disease detection by providing fast and efficient solutions for the problems faced by the farmers
