    The article is devoted to the study and identification of ways to increase the development of the motivational and value component of the creativity of first-year students. The authors actualize the problem of activating professionally-oriented creative activity of students in the modern educational process, specify the concept of professional creativity. In the study, the authors identify and theoretically substantiate the ways of developing the motivational and value component of the creativity of first-year students in the educational space of the university on the example of the Belgorod Institute of Arts and Culture, offering an experimental model of the gradual development of professional creativity. A practical study of the development of the motivational and value component of the creativity of first-year students, which formed the basis of the general theory of professional creativity, was conducted.El artículo está dedicado al estudio e identificación de formas de incrementar el desarrollo del componente motivacional y valorativo de la creatividad de los estudiantes de primer año. Los autores actualizan el problema de activar la actividad creativa orientada profesionalmente de los estudiantes en el proceso educativo moderno, especifican el concepto de creatividad profesional.     Intensity of the neutron component of cosmic rays and air humidity

    Neutron monitor data is currently corrected only for the barometric effect. We cannot, however, exclude that changes in air humidity affect the intensity of the cosmic-ray neutron component recorded by neutron monitors. In this regard, we have carried out continuous measurements of air humidity and temperature when observing variations in the cosmic ray intensity with a neutron monitor in Novosibirsk. Analysis of the results of observations of meteorological parameters and cosmic ray intensity in Novosibirsk, as well as data from the global network of neutron monitors, made it possible to identify neutron component intensity variations caused by changes in air humidity. The estimated humidity effect indicates the need to regularly take it into account in the neutron monitor data. To do this, along with atmospheric pressure, regular measurements of humidity and air temperature should be performed

    The bacteriohopanepolyol inventory of novel aerobic methane oxidising bacteria reveals new biomarker signatures of aerobic methanotrophy in marine systems

    Aerobic methane oxidation (AMO) is one of the primary biologic pathways regulating the amount of methane (CH4) released into the environment. AMO acts as a sink of CH4, converting it into carbon dioxide before it reaches the atmosphere. It is of interest for (paleo)climate and carbon cycling studies to identify lipid biomarkers that can be used to trace AMO events, especially at times when the role of methane in the carbon cycle was more pronounced than today. AMO bacteria are known to synthesise bacteriohopanepolyol (BHP) lipids. Preliminary evidence pointed towards 35-aminobacteriohopane-30,31,32,33,34-pentol (aminopentol) being a characteristic biomarker for Type I methanotrophs. Here, the BHP compositions were examined for species of the recently described novel Type I methanotroph bacterial genera Methylomarinum and Methylomarinovum, as well as for a novel species of a Type I Methylomicrobium. Aminopentol was the most abundant BHP only in Methylomarinovum caldicuralii, while Methylomicrobium did not produce aminopentol at all. In addition to the expected regular aminotriol and aminotetrol BHPs, novel structures tentatively identified as methylcarbamate lipids related to C-35 amino-BHPs (MCBHPs) were found to be synthesised in significant amounts by some AMO cultures. Subsequently, sediments and authigenic carbonates from methane-influenced marine environments were analysed. Most samples also did not contain significant amounts of aminopentol, indicating that aminopentol is not a useful biomarker for marine aerobic methanotophic bacteria. However, the BHP composition of the marine samples do point toward the novel MC-BHPs components being potential new biomarkers for AMO

    Polymorphism of apolipoprotein A1 gene and lipid profile of blood serum in the Evenki and Buryat populations

    The prevalence of genotypes and alleles of polymorphic markers (-75)G>A and (+83)C>T apolipoprotein A1 gene (ApOAl) in samples of ethnic groups from Eastern Siberia (the Evenkis and Buryats) were studied. In the Evenki population allele (-75)A was registered in 22,7 % cases, in the Buryat population - in 22,4 % cases. In the Evenki population allele (+83)T was found in 6,3 % cases, in the Buryat population - in 5,9 % cases. Statistically significant differences of genotypes and alleles APOA1 prevalence between the Evenkis and the Buryats was not found. The prevalence of alleles (-75)G>A and (+83)C>T of gene APOA1 obtained in the study were compared with the prevalence in different populations around the world. For each teenager in the study group we conducted a biochemical analysis of serum lipid profile. Also a comparative analysis of blood lipid profile in carriers of different genotypes was carried out.     Использование библиометрических методов для анализа связи между доступными информационными ресурсами и публикационной активностью учёных

    Within the “academic library – researcher/professional” pair, the library has to know what resources it has to obtain to meet information and document needs of users; while the researcher want to know in which journal, primarily foreign one, they should publish their research findings. The authors analyze the correlation between the journals that the library provide in various modes and those where the researcher publish their works. They examine the possibility for applying bibliometrical methods to analyze this correlation. By the example of the chemical sciences, the authors investigate into the correlation between the journals in Scopus Database accessed online by RAS Siberian Branch researchers, and those where the latter publish their works, and conclude that providing resources to scientists and the researchers’ selecting journals for publishing are related not enough: users need to get information on all related journals; there is also the need for the national subscription for all journals for them to select the periodical for publications more precisely. The data cited by the authors will make the base to substantiate subscription for academic journals and to develop collection development program.В паре «академическая библиотека – учёный/специалист» библиотеку интересует, какими ресурсами она должна обладать для удовлетворения информационных и документальных потребностей пользователей, учёных; в каком журнале, и прежде всего – зарубежном, опубликовать результаты своих научных исследований. В статье проанализирована корреляция между журналами, в разных режимах предоставляемыми библиотекой, и теми, в которых учёные публикуются. Рассмотрена возможность использования библиометрических методов для анализа этой связи. Изучив на примере химических наук корреляцию журналов, доступных учёным СО РАН в удалённом режиме в БД Scopus, и теми, в которых они публикуются, авторы сделали выводы: предоставление учёным ресурсов и выбор ими журнала для публикации – мало связанные задачи; пользователям необходимо давать информацию обо всех журналах по тематике; существует необходимость национальной подписки на все журналы для более точного определения учёными издания для публикации результатов своих исследований. Данные, приведённые в статье, могут быть основой для аргументирования подписки на научные журналы и формирования политики комплектования

    Impact of plants on the diversity and activity of methylotrophs in soil

    Background Methanol is the second most abundant volatile organic compound in the atmosphere, with the majority produced as a metabolic by-product during plant growth. There is a large disparity between the estimated amount of methanol produced by plants and the amount which escapes to the atmosphere. This may be due to utilisation of methanol by plant-associated methanol-consuming bacteria (methylotrophs). The use of molecular probes has previously been effective in characterising the diversity of methylotrophs within the environment. Here, we developed and applied molecular probes in combination with stable isotope probing to identify the diversity, abundance and activity of methylotrophs in bulk and in plant-associated soils. Results Application of probes for methanol dehydrogenase genes (mxaF, xoxF, mdh2) in bulk and plant-associated soils revealed high levels of diversity of methylotrophic bacteria within the bulk soil, including Hyphomicrobium, Methylobacterium and members of the Comamonadaceae. The community of methylotrophic bacteria captured by this sequencing approach changed following plant growth. This shift in methylotrophic diversity was corroborated by identification of the active methylotrophs present in the soils by DNA stable isotope probing using 13C-labelled methanol. Sequencing of the 16S rRNA genes and construction of metagenomes from the 13C-labelled DNA revealed members of the Methylophilaceae as highly abundant and active in all soils examined. There was greater diversity of active members of the Methylophilaceae and Comamonadaceae and of the genus Methylobacterium in plant-associated soils compared to the bulk soil. Incubating growing pea plants in a 13CO2 atmosphere revealed that several genera of methylotrophs, as well as heterotrophic genera within the Actinomycetales, assimilated plant exudates in the pea rhizosphere. Conclusion In this study, we show that plant growth has a major impact on both the diversity and the activity of methanol-utilising methylotrophs in the soil environment, and thus, the study contributes significantly to efforts to balance the terrestrial methanol and carbon cycle
