Evaluation of Oklahoma pavement design procedures phase I - interim report (84-60)
This report covers collection of pavement conditions and other pertinent
performance data for 6 representative pavement sites that have failed prematurely
and 2 sites which have performed as intended. Interviews of Oklahoma DOT personnel, 1
review of records, inspection by an expert diagnostic team together with a field data
collection program are also included.
Based upon this data as well as laboratory testing and analysis of the
deflection testing performed, an assessment of the causes for early failures at the
representative sites are made. Recommendations for changes in design and construction
practices to prevent future premature pavement failures are included.Draft Interim Phase IN

An Evaluation of Pollution Prevention at the Lower Colorado River Authority, PRP 125
This study evaluates the Lower Colorado River Authority's pollution prevention program. The evaluation was conducted during the 1995-96 academic year under the direction of Professor David J. Eaton and Adjunct Assistant Professor Jobaid Kabir. Funding for this project was provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Hogg Fund for Urban Research. The Lower Colorado River Authority provided in-kind assistance.Public Affair

Rice Water Irrigation: Conservation Management at the Lower Colorado River Authority, PRP 139
This project represents an evaluation of the Lower Colorado River Authority's agricultural water conservation program over the five-year period between 1988 and
1993. This research began in 1992 and was completed in 1995. Research findings show that the Lower Colorado River Authority achieved significant water savings through its water conservation efforts. Findings also show that further investments in agricultural water conservation will continue to produce water savings at substantially lower costs than investments in development of alternative sources of water. This research was supported by a grant from the Texas Water Development Board and by in-kind support from the Lower Colorado River Authority.Public Affair
Evaluation of Oklahoma pavement design procedures (FHWA-OK-85-01)
This report covers the results of Phases II and III of the research project. Based upon the findings of this study, recommendations were made for possible improvement of the currently used design and management procedures. Specific recommendations were made for improved material specifications to avoid stripping in the pavement structure as this was found to be the most important reason for the failure of pavements. A research plan has been proposed for future research.Final Report May, 1984 to August, 1985N
