Semileptonic decay of BcB_c meson into ccˉc\bar c states in a QCD potential model

The slope and curvature of Isgur Wise function for BcB_{c} meson is computed in a QCD potential model in two different approaches of choosing the perturbative term of the Cornell potential. Based on heavy quark effective theory the exclusive semileptonic decay rates of BcB_c meson into the $c\bar c\ (\eta_c,J/\psi)statesareexploited.SpinsymmetrybreakingeffectsareignoreduptoaparticularpointandtheformfactorsareconnectedwithIsgur−Wisefunctionforotherkinematicpointsincetherecoilmomentumof states are exploited. Spin symmetry breaking effects are ignored upto a particular point and the form factors are connected with Isgur-Wise function for other kinematic point since the recoil momentum of c\bar cfrom from B_{c}$ is small due to its heavy mass.Comment: 13 pages, 4 tables, 4 figures,Accepted to Int.J.Mod.Phys.

Isgur-Wise function in a QCD potential model with coulombic potential as perturbation

We study heavy light mesons in a QCD inspired quark model with the Cornell potential−4αS3r+br+c-\frac{4\alpha_{S}}{3r}+br+c. Here we consider the linear term brbr as the parent and −4αS3r+c-\frac{4\alpha_{S}}{3r}+c i.e.the Coloumbic part as the perturbation. The linear parent leads to Airy function as the unperturbed wavefunction. We then use the Dalgarno method of perturbation theory to obtain the total wavefunction corrected upto first order with Coulombic peice as the perturbation. With these wavefunctions, we study the Isgur-Wise function and calculate its slope and curvature.Comment: paper has been modified in Airy functions calculation upto o(r^3

Leptonic decay of Heavy-light Mesons in a QCD Potential Model

We study the masses and decay constants of heavy-light flavour mesons D, Ds, B and Bs in a QCD Potential model. The mesonic wavefunction is used to compute the masses of D and B mesons in the ground state and the wavefunction is transformed to momentum space to estimate the pseudoscalar decay constants of these mesons. The leptonic decay widths and branching ratio of these mesons for different leptonic channels are also computed to compare with the experimental values. The results are found to be compatible with available data.Comment: 9 pages,3 table

Oscillation frequency of B and B mesons in a QCD potential model with relativistic effect

Wavefunction at the origin with the incorporation of relativistic effect leads to singularity in a specific potential model. To regularise the wavefunction, we introduce a short distance scale here and use it to estimate masses and decay constants of Bd and Bs mesons within the QCD potential model. These values are then used to compute the oscillation frequency \Delta mB of Bd and Bs mesons. The values are found to be in good agreement with experiment and other theoretical values.Comment: 10 page

Parameterisation space for Cornell potential in a QCD potential model

    No full text
We make a critical analysis on the free parameters of the Cornell potential −4αs3r+br+c-\frac{4\alpha _{s}}{3r}+br+c and provide a parameterisation space for the strong coupling constant αs\alpha _{s} and the constant shift ‘c’ for choosing linear part as perturbation in the potential model. In the analysis of heavy-light mesons (D,Ds,B,Bs and Bc)(D,D_{s},B,B_{s}\ \text {and}\ B_{c}), we have found a wide range of values for the coupling constant i.e 0.20≤αs≤0.640.20 \le \alpha _{s}\le 0.64 with −1.2≤c≤−0.66-1.2 \le c \le -0.66 which can be used to treat the confining part as perturbation
