    Activity of Naringinase in the Extracts from Citrus unshiu waste Treated with Brewer's Yeasts and Their Inhibitory Effects on Angiotensin Converting Enzyme

    Naringinase activity and inhibitory potency against Angiotensin- converting enzyme were tested in the extract from Citrus unshiu waste treated with various brewer's yeasts. Naringinase activity in the yeasts tested was much smaller than that in some fungi. It was, however, proved that if an appropriate incubation method is adopted, analysis method is effective for this system. Inhibitory effect in the extract, on the contrary, was shown being positive in almost all strains tested.     Protease inhibitor, pepstatin is a pentapeptide which involves two unusual amino acid, statine (3S-hydroxy-4S-amino-6-methylheptanoic acid (I)). Pepstatin is known to inhibit renin in the hypertensive renin-angiotensin system and shown to suppress blood pressure strongly. The present paper deals with the simple and convenient synthesis of butyl 1-p-menthen-3-azido-4-hydroxy-7-carboxy late (III) in which III is one of the important intermediate leading to the isosteric isomer of statin, namely, p-menthan-3-amino-2-hydroxy-7-carboxylic acid (II).     Activities of Angiotensin-I Converting Enzyme Inhibition in Proteolytic Hydrolyzate of Food Proteins: In View of Development of Physiologically Functional Peptides

    ACE inhibitory activity in hydrolyzate of food proteins treated by some proteases was tested. The protein from soybean, when it was hydrolyzed by proteases, had larger ACE inhibitory activity, especially at neutral pH. At lower and higher pH all hydrolyzate did not show high ACE inhibitory activity contrary to our expectations.     Synthesis of Some New 2-Tetrafluoroethyl-pseudooxazolones-(5) from the Tfp-Amino Acids

    我々のグループでペプチド合成における新しいN-保護基を開発中であるが,その一環として既にTfp(テトラフロロプロピオニル)基の性質およびその応用を報告し,ラセミ化を伴う際の反応中間物であるシュードオキサゾロンを単離,同定した。今回,オキサゾロンにL-アミノ酸又はジペプチドを作用させる場合の不斉誘導因子を究明する目的で一連のオキキゾロンをTfp-アミノ酸から系統的に合成し,それらの構造決定を行なった。合成されたオキサゾロンは4位の置換基がメチル,エチル,n-プロピル,n-ブチル,イソブチル,ベンジルの各物質であり,それらはいずれもシュード型オキサゾロンであることを確認した。Article信州大学農学部紀要 11(1): 87-92(1974)departmental bulletin pape
