    Tele-Diagnosis at Networked Automation Systems

    No full text
This paper describes a teleservice - tool, which is used for the remote diagnosis of PLCS at machines. It records the operations in the interior of the PLCS. Thereby all real time - details are measured. To be able to select the measured variables flexibly, a mobile agent is constructed in the far computer. This agent will transfer into the PLCS with the help of the network and begins to work there. The observations at the software are supported by video - and audio - measurements at the machine

Automation systems on the field level are characterized by a distibution of the control function between seperate devices. The communication of the subsystems is more and more performed by buses. During the design of such systems the functionality and the performance have to be proved. For both we propose a common modelling and simulation approach whiches includes the protocol behaviour of the participants , their interactions, and the system dynamics. As the basis of the simulation of the whole system we choose VHDL simulators which are often used in design of digital systems. The modelling approach is detailed on an LON-based system. With a task of process control the features of a simulation supported design are demonstrated

Classification Method for Fault Diagnosis in Networked CIM Systems

    No full text
Abstract: A method to support fault diagnosis in networked discrete events systems is presented. The method combines the abstraction and condensation of data with recognition of anomalies. The method and implementing tool have been successfully used at CIM factories in some European countries. Copyright © 2001 IFA

TROUBLESHOOTING IN MES OF A SEMICONDUCTOR FACTORY

    No full text
This paper presents an approach to troubleshooting in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to improve their reliability using passive monitoring. It is a result of cooperation between a semiconductor company and Dresden University of Technology. A network analyzer at fab message bus is used for monitoring, which subscribes transactions and their replies using publish/subscribe paradigm. The goal of evaluation of observation results is a cognitive á posteriori diagnosis. That means detection of redundancies, bottlenecks, error-symptoms, not yet classified situations and retrieval of á posteriori model of the observed normal behavior with intensive user interaction. The diagnosis tool “Extrakt ” supports the troubleshooter with numerous analysis and visualization options. The event-based diagnostic rules can be derived automatically or be entered by diagnostician during iterative cognitive diagnosis. They are based on assumptions about production, software and use case scenarios. Keywords: fault diagnosis, manufacturing execution system, complex events.
