Depriming of arterial heat pipes: An investigation of CTS thermal excursions
Four thermal excursions of the Transmitter Experiment Package (TEP) were the result of the depriming of the arteries in all three heat pipes in the Variable Conductance Heat Pipe System which cooled the TEP. The determined cause of the depriming of the heat pipes was the formation of bubbles of the nitrogen/helium control gas mixture in the arteries during the thaw portion of a freeze/thaw cycle of the inactive region of the condenser section of the heat pipe. Conditions such as suction freezeout or heat pipe turn-on, which moved these bubbles into the active region of the heat pipe, contributed to the depriming mechanism. Methods for precluding, or reducing the probability of, this type of failure mechanism in future applications of arterial heat pipes are included
Extended Development of Variable Conductance Heat Pipes
A high-capacity vapor-modulated heat pipe was designed and tested. In 1977, a program was undertaken to use the aforementioned heat pipe to study protection from freezing-point failure, increase control sensitivity, and transient behavior under a wide range of operating conditions in order to determine the full performance potential of the heat pipe. A new concept, based on the vapor-induced-dry-out principle, was developed for passive feedback temperature control as a heat pipe diode. Characteristics of tourism investment support sources in Ukraine
Питання інвестицій в туристичну сферу України завжди є актуальним, адже галузь туризму займає одне із
провідних місць у формуванні інвестиційної привабливості країни. Для розвитку даної галузі важливим є характеристика
джерел інвестування, їх аналіз, визначення їх особливостей та структури. Мета. Дослідження джерел інвестиційного
забезпечення розвитку туризму в Україні, їх структури, особливостей, формування позиції України у рейтингу капіталовкладень у сферу туризму, пошук додаткових джерел інвестування в туристичну галузь є основною метою даного дослідження. Методика. У ході дослідження було використано такі методи: аналізу, синтезу, порівняння, математичний
та узагальнення. Інформаційною основою дослідження є дані Державної Служби Статистики України, Світовий Атлас
Даних, статистичні дані Всесвітньої туристичної організації. Саме завдяки цим даним було проаналізовано, досліджено
та сформовано висновки щодо дослідження джерел інвестиційного забезпечення розвитку туризму в Україні. Результати дослідження полягають у визначенні відсоткового співвідношення джерел інвестування в економіку України, визначенні місця країни в рейтингу капіталовкладень у сферу туризму, дослідженні особливості розподілу капітальних інвестицій
за видами економічної діяльності та пропозицій оптимальних рішень щодо вибору джерел інвестиційного забезпечення
туризму в Україні. Практична значимість даної статті полягає у тому, що проведенi дослiдження можуть бути використані при формуванні інвестиційної стратегії в галузі туризму як самими туристичними підприємствами, так і на рівні
державної інвестиційної стратегії.The issue of investment in the Ukrainian tourism industry is always topical, as far as the tourism industry takes one of
the leading places in the formation of investment attractiveness of the country. For the development of this industry it is important
to study the sources of investment, their analysis, and determine their special aspects and structure. Purpose of this article is to
study the sources of investment support for the development of Ukrainian tourism, its structure, special aspects, formation of
Ukrainian position in the rating of capital investments in the tourism industry, search for additional sources of investment in the
tourism industry. Method. The following methods were used in the course of the given study: analysis, synthesis, comparison,
mathematical method, comparison, generalization. The information basis of the study is the data taken from the State Statistics
Service of Ukraine, the World Data Atlas, and statistical data of the World Tourism Organization. Results. The tourism industry is
a dynamic industry that will quickly recover after the coronavirus crisis, however, even now we can look for powerful investment
sources for its development, because this situation makes it possible to pay attention to the role of the state as a powerful investor.
It is necessary to promote and support this sector of Ukraine’s economy, pay considerable attention to this industry, differentiate
national tourism products, using the advantages of closed borders - because this is a great opportunity for the development of
domestic tourism. Optimal investment policy of the country as a major tourism investor should be conducted according to the
following main areas: tax incentives for investment; application of accelerated depreciation; creation of favourable conditions for
foreign investors, support and encouragement for innovation activity; stable working conditions for long-term capital investments.
Scientific novelty is to form approaches to the study of sources of investment in tourism and their classification. The practical
importance of this article is that the research can be used in the formation of investment strategy in the field of tourism as tourism
companies themselves, and at the level of state investment strategy
NY Her: possible discovery of negative superhumps
We presents result of CDD photometry for SU UMa dwarf nova NY Her during 6 nights in June 2017 when object was in quiescence.
Light curves clearly show strong amplitude variations in a range of 0Time series analysis revealed a period 0.07141(5) d,
that we identified as the period of possible negative superhumps of NY Her

Colloidal aggregation in microgravity by critical Casimir forces
By using the critical Casimir force, we study the attractive strength
dependent aggregation of colloids with and without gravity by means of Near
Field scattering. Significant differences were seen between microgravity and
ground experiments, both in the structure of the formed fractal aggregates as
well as the kinetics of growth. Ground measurements are severely affected by
sedimentation resulting in reaction limited behavior. In microgravity, a purely
diffusive behavior is seen reflected both in the measured fractal dimensions
for the aggregates as well as the power law behavior in the rate of growth.
Formed aggregates become more open as the attractive strength increases.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
14 years of photometric monitoring of MM Dra and a suspected variable in the field of blazar 1ES 1959+650
We present a 14 year photometric study of one confirmed and one suspected variable star in the field of the TeV blazar 1ES 1959+650. Both stars have previously been used as comparison stars for the blazar 1ES 1959+650, and are identified as star 3 and star 5 by Villata et. al. (1998). Star 5 is also known as MM Dra and is an eclipsing binary of the EW UMa type, exhibiting evidence of the O'Connell effect. A very recent calibration based on Gaia parallaxes suggests a distance of about 600 pc. Star 3 is a variable star of undetermined type and a color analysis suggests it is a late K or early M type star

Autoantibody Response to ZRF1 and KRR1 SEREX Antigens in Patients with Breast Tumors of Different Histological Types and Grades

To investigate a frequency of antibody response to SEREX-identified medullary breast carcinoma autoantigens ZRF1 and KRR1 in sera of breast cancer patients taking into account clinical and molecular characteristics of tumors for opening of new perspectives in creation of minimally invasive immunological tests for cancer diagnostics. Methods. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and bioinformatics analysis. Results. Increased frequency of antibody response was found in sera of breast cancer patients to ZRF and KRR1 antigens. The antibody response to these antigens was higher in sera of patients with invasive ductal carcinoma than in sera of patients with other histological types of breast tumors. Moreover, more frequent antibody response to ZRF antigen was found in sera of patients with less aggressive tumors. The sequence analysis of ZRF1 antigen SEREX clones obtained from cDNA libraries of different tumors demonstrates that they encode different protein isoforms. Conclusion. Tumor-associated antigens KRR1 and ZRF1 and their cognate autoantibodies could be considered as potential molecular markers of breast cancer which need to be further investigated
