    Detection of Vitiligo using Waveguide Resonator based on Optical Sensor

    In this paper, design of an optical sensor is proposed which can be used for detection of vitiligo due to pigment loss. To do this, a couple of 2D photonic crystal structure i.e., L3 and L7 resonator is considered. The analysis of both the resonator structures is done with the help of finite difference time domain (FDTD). FDTD Modelling of these structures is done by using OptiFDTD simulation tool. Optical properties of different pigments in human skin are studied and the refractive indexes values are given as input to OptiFDTD to detect the change in refractive index of various pigments that cause vitiligo
