    Obecna sytuacja gospodarcza powoduje, że wiele obiektów budowlanych zmienia swoich właścicieli i konieczne jest dostosowanie istniejącej infrastruktury do wymagań nowego użytkownika. Modernizacja powoduje często przyrost obciążenia użytkowego lub modyfikację geometrii konstrukcji. Niejednokrotnie przebudowie nie musi ulegać cała konstrukcja, a jedynie jej poszczególne elementy, czego przykładem może być dołączenie wspornika stanowiącego podporę belki podsuwnicowej, do istniejącego w hali słupa żelbetowego.The results of the experimental investigations of the corbels reinforced with steel double-headed studs connected with precast columns were introduced in the work. Cracks morphology and carrying capacity strongly depends on the kind of the interface between corbel and column. The carrying capacity of these corbels was calculated by means of ACI-318 provisions based on shear-friction theory

    Dome over the Gdynia seaport building

    The paper presents the description of structure and the selected problems of the technical condition, as well as the strength analysis of the thin-walled reinforced concrete shell which has been making a covering of the main hall of the Gdynia Seaport Building through the last 80 years. The rectangle projection of four single curvature shells of the dome was shaped out of mutual perpendicular intersection of two cylindrical shells. The analysis of the state of stress and deformations was carried out using the special model worked out in MES considering the combination of loads, the thermal ones included. For the long lasting loads (the deadweight of the dome), the computed results of static quantities were confronted with analytical results obtained according to F. Dischinger’s method. This method had been applied by the DYWIDAG Company in Berlin and its branch in Katowice (Poland) who designed the Gdynia Dome. The computational analysis and the assessment of the technical state, along with laboratory pH tests of concrete, made it possible to carry out the overall evaluation of durability and safety of operation of the Gdynia Seaport Dome through the next decades

    W referacie przedstawiono wyniki badania eksperymentalnego przestrzennego układu tarcz z tarczą wspornikową obciążoną po wysokości i tarczą poprzeczną ją wspierającą. Wyniki badania w zakresie zarysowania i nośności przeanalizowano pod kątem udziału betonu w pracy układu tarczowego. Zweryfikowano przydatność wytrzymałości betonu na przecinanie w ocenie nośności.The paper presents the results of experimental study carried out by authors on the deep beams with cantilever which was loaded throughout the depth. The main deep beam was directly simply supported on the one side. On the other side the deep beam was suspended in another deep member situated at right angles. All deep beams created a spatial arrangement. The tested deep beams were reinforced orthogonally. Crack patterns and the mode of the failure as well shear concrete were analyzed for their influence on load carrying capacity of the deep beams
