Modeling of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Concentrated Windings

This paper presents the construction of electromagnetic circuit of 8-pole permanent-magnet synchronous motor with concentrated windings. The computational model of 8-pole permanent-magnet synchronous motor, induction and flux lines in a cross section are shown. Results for full and reduced model are presented.Artykuł przedstawia konstrukcję obwodu elektromagnetycznego 8-biegunowego silnika synchronicznego z magnesami o uzwojeniu skupionym. Electric Device Assigned to Magnetize Permanent Magnets. Research Results

This paper presents an electromagnetic circuit assigned to magnetize permanent magnets (NdFeB, SmCo). The computational model of electromagnetic circuit which allows to magnetize permanent magnets is shown. Design issues and possibilities of magnetizer are discussed and the distribution of magnetic field intensity in a work space and distribution of induction in a steel core of magnetizer are presented. Article presents also the computational courses of current and voltage in magnetizing coil during magnetizing process. The values of magnetic induction obtained on the surface of permanent magnet during magnetizing in magnetizer are shown and compared with magnetized magnets (by manufacturer) - differences between values of induction are shown on a graphical charts.W artykule zaprezentowano urządzenie do magnesowania magnesów trwałych. Pokazano model obwodu elektromagnetycznego umożliwiającego magnesowanie magnesów. Omówiono zagadnienia projektowe i zaprezentowano rozkład natężenia pola magnetycznego w przestrzeni roboczej magneśnicy wraz z rozkładem indukcji magnetycznej w rdzeniu magnetycznym. Zaprezentowano obliczeniowe przebiegi czasowe prądu i napięcia w cewce magnesującej podczas procesu magnesowania i porównano je z wynikami badań laboratoryjnych. Pokazano wyniki badań z procesu magnesowania magnesów w postaci wartości indukcji magnetycznych zmierzonych na powierzchni magnesów i porównano je z wartościami indukcji magnetycznej magnesów namagnesowanych przez producenta. Analysis of road traffic safety exemplified by selected road crossings

W artykule poruszono problem bezpieczeństwa w ruchu drogowym. Zaprezentowano trzy wybrane skrzyżowania ulic w Nowym Sączu. Podano przykłady zdarzeń drogowych, jakie miały miejsce na tych skrzyżowaniach w dzień oraz po zmierzchu. Zwrócono uwagę, w jaki sposób modernizacja, która została przeprowadzona na dwóch z nich może wpłynąć pozytywnie na poprawę bezpieczeństwa w ruchu drogowym. W przypadku trzeciego skrzyżowania, które nie było jeszcze modernizowane, zaproponowano rozwiązania zwiększające bezpieczeństwo w tym miejscu. Ponadto przedstawiono wyniki badań ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród mieszańców Nowego Sącza. Ankietowani zostali poproszeni o ocenę stanu natężenia ruchu w mieście, ocenę stanu nawierzchni dróg, ocenę oznakowania ulic oraz czytelności znaków drogowych. Ankieta umożliwiała również wybór odpowiedzi na pytanie dotyczące przyczyn wypadków drogowych.The author of the article discusses the issue of safety in road traffic. Three selected road crossings in Nowy Sącz (Poland) are presented, along with road accidents which took place at such crossings during daytime and after dusk. Attention is drawn to the manner in which the modernisation performed on two of the crossings may have a positive effect on the improvement of safety in road traffic. In the case of the third crossing, which has not yet been modernised, solutions increasing safety in this location were proposed. Furthermore, the author presents the results of a questionnaire conducted among the inhabitants of Nowy Sącz. The respondents were asked to evaluate the intensity of traffic in the city, the condition of road surface, the marking of streets and the legibility of road signs. The questionnaire also included a question concerning the causes of road accidents

Analysis of the root causes and impact of road accidents and collisions at selected intersections in the city of Nowy Sącz

Wypadki i kolizje w ruchu drogowym zdarzają się niestety bardzo często. Zależnie od pory roku, pory dnia czy pogody ich częstotliwość się zmienia. Autorzy podjęli temat analizy przyczyn i skutków wypadków oraz kolizji drogowych, jakie wydarzyły się w ostatnich miesiącach - to jest od 1 stycznia do 30 czerwca 2013 r. - na drogach i skrzyżowaniach w mieście Nowy Sącz. Na podstawie danych otrzymanych z Komendy Miejskiej Policji Państwowej w Nowym Sączu dokonano zestawienia graficznego częstotliwości występowania zdarzeń drogowych i porównania ich z poprzednimi latami. Wyjaśnione zostały także przyczyny zdarzeń drogowych i ich skutki.Unfortunately road accidents and collisions occur very frequently. Depending on the season, time of a day or weather conditions their frequency varies. The authors of this paper analysed root causes and impact of the road accidents and collisions that occurred in recent months i.e. in the period from 1st January to 30th June 2013 on the roads and at the crossroads in the City of Nowy Sącz. Based on data provided by the State Police Headquarters in Nowy Sącz, a graphical representation was developed to show frequency of road incidents and a comparison was made with the previous years. New Series of High Efficiency 2-Pole Synchronous Generator with Permanent Magnets

This paper presents the construction of electromagnetic circuit of 2-pole synchronous generator with permanent magnets designed for power unit diesel generator. The computational model of 2-pole synchronous generator with permanent magnets were shown. The Flux density in the air gap and harmonic spectrum of magnetic induction distributed in air gap are presented. During designing of electromagnetic circuit for 2-pole generator influence of magnetic-pole embrace, shape of magnets and number of magnets per pole was taken into account to obtain the best electromechanical parameters. The cross section with graphically presentation of magnetic induction in particular parts of electromagnetic circuits was shown.Comparison of efficiency and cogging torque according to specific design of rotor are shown.Artykuł przedstawia konstrukcję obwodu elektromagnetycznego dwubiegunowej prądnicy synchronicznej z magnesami trwałymi zaprojektowanej i przeznaczonej do pracy w agregacie spalinowoelektrycznym. W artykule zaprezentowano model obliczeniowy generatora, pokazano obwodowy rozkład indukcji magnetycznej w szczelinie powietrznej oraz widmo harmonicznych rozkładu indukcji. W ramach pracy zbadano wpływ liczby magnesów przypadającej na biegun na uzyskane charakterystyki napięcia wyjściowego oraz parametry maszyny. The analysis of causes of road accidents in Limanowa Poviat

W artykule przedstawiono analizę incydentów drogowych w powiecie limanowskim, występujących w latach 2010 – 2012. Dokonano ich zestawienia, dzieląc na wypadki, kolizje, na liczbę zabitych i rannych biorących w nich udział. Przeanalizowano również liczbę incydentów drogowych występujących w poszczególnych miesiącach. Zaprezentowano przykładowe wypadki, które zdarzyły się w powiecie limanowskim w analizowanych latach, a także dokonano ich krótkiego scharakteryzowania.The article is an analysis of road incidents in Limanowa Poviat in the years 2010-2012 and includes their list broken down into accidents, collisions, and the number of deaths and injuries caused by such accidents. Analysis of power and temperature distribution in low voltage switchgear – coupled fem analysis (EM + CFD) using Ansys, Maxwell and Icepak software

Paper presents thermal analysis of low voltage motor control center column which contains main unit with air circuit breaker. Described is two-stage simulation approach which includes solution of electromagnetic field and CFD analysis coupled together. The result of electromagnetic simulation, which is the first step of this combined approach, is heat loss generated as the result of Joule heating and induction of eddy currents on sheet metal parts of the enclosure. Heat loss is an input for further CFD simulation which is the final stage of analysis. CFD simulation is used to calculate radiation and natural convection. Results of conducted simulation were compared to real thermal test ran in Rockwell Automation laboratory according to IEC 61439-1 standard.W artykule przedstawiono i porównano różne rodzaje sterowania typowymi silnikami z magnesami trwałymi, stosowanymi do napędzania rowerów elektrycznych. Process of designing spatial biplanetary gear

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono proces projektowania przestrzennej przekładni biplanetarnej z kołami zębatymi stożkowymi. Dodatkowo szczegółowo omówiono sposób wyznaczania najważniejszego parametru kinematycznego każdej przekładni, tj. przełożenia kinematycznego.This article discusses the process of designing complex spatial biplanetary gear, also known as double planetary gear units with bevel gear wheels. Particular attention was paid to the most important and most difficult part of this process, i.e. the calculation of the kinematic transmission ratio. The important role of sketches already created in the early stage of design process was also emphasized. These sketches, in particular when made in 3D, allow early detection of collision points between adjacent gear elements and unfinished nodes of the structure of the projected gear. Also assembled drawings and assemblies made in 3D allow not only detailed study of the complex biplanetary gearbox, as they facilitate the complex assembly and disassembly processes. Also, they can also detect any possible collision of transmission components

Work time analysis of drivers in the aspect of road traffic safety

W artykule omówiono problemy związane z czasem pracy kierowców transportu drogowego oraz ich wpływ na bezpieczeństwo w ruchu drogowym. Analizę czasu pracy kierowcy przeprowadzono na przykładzie dwóch firm transportowych działających na Sądecczyźnie. Analizie poddano czas pracy kierowców i ich odpoczynek w okresie dziennym, tygodniowym i dwutygodniowym. Wyniki analizy przedstawiono w formie tabelarycznej oraz graficznej.The author of the article discusses problems related to the work time of road transport drivers and their impact on safety in road traffic. Analysis of drivers’ work time was in two transport companies operating in the Sącz area. Work time of drivers was subjected to analysis, along with their rest in daily, weekly and bi-weekly periods. The results of the analysis are presented in a graphic and tabular form
