    Analisis Kemelekan Sains (Science Literacy) Dan Kemelekan Inkuiri (Inquiry Literacy) Guru Mata Pelajaran IPA SMP

    : Science literacy and inquiry literacy are two important aspects of life skills needed by both teachers and students in this globalization era. This research has been undertaken to analyzed science and inquiry literacy of high school science teachers in West Nusa Tenggara Provence. The research subjects consist of 25 teachers who joined the master degree in the Magister Study Program of Educational Sciences in the University of Mataram during academic year 2012/2013. The research has been designed as one group pretest-postest experiment. The teacher students have been trained for 4 times of lecturer classes which equal to 400 minutes. The results of this research shown that the average scores of science literacy and inquiry literacy of those student teachers can be categorized as low level (M ≤ 50%). The average scores of science literacy increased only 0,7 % and the inquiry literacy score increased about 5% after the training. Due to the important of these aspects in the context of science, therefore it is strongly recommended to constructs systematic and continuous efforts to help improve the teachers professional competences includes the science literacy and inquiry literacy

    Efektivitas Multimedia Interaktif Berbasis Flash Dan Model 5e Untuk Meningkatkan Sikap Terhadap Sains Siswa SMP Negeri 6 Mataram

    : The aim of this study was to know effectiveness and effect of flash based interactive multimedia (FBIM) and 5E model toward students attitudes toward science. Experimental research desain was pretest-postest non-equivalent control group and faktorial 2 x 2. The population consist of 196 students spread in 7 classes. These classes are grade VIII in SMPN6 Mataram. Sample was choosen by using simple random sampling, Sample of this reseacrh consist of 97 students spread in 4 classes are grade VIIIB applied 5E model without FBIM grade VIIIC applied 5E model and FBIM, grade VIIID applied 2EK model without FBIM, and grade VIIIE applied 2EK model and FBIM Result of experiment reseach shows that there are significant effect of FBIM (F = 100.96, p = 0.00) and 5E model (F = 65.46, p = 0.00) on attitudes toward science. There are significant effect of interaction between FBIM and 5E model (F = 13.05, p = 0.00) on attitudes toward science. It can be concluded that FBIM and 5E model are effective to enhance students attitudes toward science

    Analisis Penguasaan Konsep Dan Miskonsepsi Biologi Dengan Teknik Modifikasi Certainty of Response Index Pada Siswa SMP Se-kota Sumbawa Besar

    : One of the objectives science in secondary school is to improve the student\u27s knowledge, attainment concept, and process skills science. This descriptive research is aimed to analyze the understanding concept and misconception of Biology in the Junior high school\u27s students at Sumbawa Besar City. The kind of this research is descriptive. The population consist of 1197 students of eight grade in six Junior High School at Sumbawa Besar City in academic year of 2013/2014. The sample of this research was selected based on school location consist of junior high school in central town, suburban, and rural area of Sumbawa Besar City which were determined by Cluster Random Sampling. The research\u27s instrument is developing multiple-choice test with modification technique of CRI. The results of this research shows : (1) understanding concepts of biology in junior high schools\u27 students in central town is classified as high, while that students in suburban is classified as moderate, and students in rural area of Sumbawa Besar City is classified as low; (2) misconceptions that occur in material about characteristic of living thing, diversity of living thing, and levels of live organization at junior high schools\u27 students in central town, suburban and rural area of Sumbawa Besar City are classified as moderate; (3) misconceptions occur in characteristic of living things material classified as high, misconceptions occur in of living things materials and levels of life organization are classified as moderate; (4) retentions of understanding concept during two weeks of the junior high school\u27s student in central town is increase by 5.50 % ,while that of student in suburban is increase by 11.38 % , and student in rural area of Sumbawa Besar City is increase by 5.55 % . Difference in the level of attainment concepts of the three sample groups is probably due to difference interest in learning of student. One of the causes of biological misconceptions on junior high school students at Sumbawa Besar city is the lack of ability to process information and low level of reasoning. Misconceptions on the material characteristics of living thing is high because students were only able to mention and give examples, without being able to explain the concept of the characteristics of living thing. Differences in students\u27 attainment concepts retention in l three groups of samples can be affected by factors on student forgetfulness. Retention can be enhanced with the use of active learning strategies and meaningful learning

    Scientific Reasoning Ability of Prospective Student Teacher in the Excellence Program of Mathematics and Science Teacher Education in University of Mataram

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the scientific reasoning ability of the prospective student teacher, and to analyze the difference in scientific reasoning ability between students in the study programs. The sample set consisted of 179 students joining the Excellence Program of Mathematics and Science Teacher Education in the Faculty of Teacher Education (FTE) in the University of Mataram. The Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning (CTSR) was translated into Indonesian language and used to measure the student scientific reasoning ability. The results of this study revealed that 95.5% students had low reasoning ability and were categorized as concrete and transitional reasoner. Only few students (4.5%) reached the category of formal operational reasoner. In addition, significant differences of the students reasoning ability emerged among the third and the fifth semester students, as well as students in the four study programs

    Analisis Pola Manajemen Madrasah dalam Mendukung Mutu Pendidikan di MA Plus Abu Hurairah Mataram

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola manajemen madrasah dalam mendukung mutu pendidikan di MA Plus Abu Hurairah Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Secara terperinci hasil penelitian dari masing komponen dalam MBS menunjukkan: 1) sebagian besar (84,62%) menyatakan bahwa, manajemen kurukulum telah dikelola dengan baik dan memberi kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, 2) sebagian besar (87,56%) menyatakan bahwa, manajemen kesiswaan telah dikelola dengan baik dan memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, 3) sebagian besar (79,62%) menyatakan bahwa manajemen sarana dan prasarana telah dikelola dengan baik dan memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, dan 4) sebagian besar (80,43%) menyatakan bahwa, manajemen keuangan telah dikelola dengan baik dan memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Dengan demikian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa, sebagian besar (83,06%) menyatakan bahwa, manajemen madrasah dapat dikelola dengan baik dan telah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip penerapan MBS yang disesuaikan dengan Standar Nasional Pendidikan dalam mendukung mutu pendidikan di MA Plus Abu Hurairah Mataram

    PENGARUH IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS TANTANGAN TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KONSEP DAN KREATIVITAS ILMIAH SISWA KELAS XI SMAN 2 LABUAPI TAHUN AJARAN 2016/2017

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis tantangan terhadap penguasaan konsep dan kreativitas ilmiah siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Labuapi tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pola eksperimen semu (quasy experiment) dengan desain Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Labuapi, dengan populasi berjumlah 63 siswa yang tersebar dalam 3 kelas. Sampel kelas dipilih dengan teknikPurposive Sampling sehingga didapatkan kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol, dengan sampel berjumlah 43 siswa.Tes yang digunakan yaitu tes penguasaan konsep dalam bentuk tes pilihan ganda dan tes kreativitas ilmiah dalam bentuk tes essay. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwaà penguasaan konsep dan kreativitas ilmiah siswa dengan model pembelajaran berbasis tantangan berbeda dengan yang tidak diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran berbasis tantangan. Dengan demikiandapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis tantangan secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep (t hitung= 6,19 >t tabel = 2,01) dan kreativitas ilmiah (t hitung= 7,76 >t tabel = 2,01).àKata kunci: model, pembelajaran, berbasis tantangan, penguasaan konsep, kreativitas ilmia
