A review of parallel computing for large-scale remote sensing image mosaicking
Interest in image mosaicking has been spurred by a wide variety of research and management needs. However, for large-scale applications, remote sensing image mosaicking usually requires significant computational capabilities. Several studies have attempted to apply parallel computing to improve image mosaicking algorithms and to speed up calculation process. The state of the art of this field has not yet been summarized, which is, however, essential for a better understanding and for further research of image mosaicking parallelism on a large scale. This paper provides a perspective on the current state of image mosaicking parallelization for large scale applications. We firstly introduce the motivation of image mosaicking parallel for large scale application, and analyze the difficulty and problem of parallel image mosaicking at large scale such as scheduling with huge number of dependent tasks, programming with multiple-step procedure, dealing with frequent I/O operation. Then we summarize the existing studies of parallel computing in image mosaicking for large scale applications with respect to problem decomposition and parallel strategy, parallel architecture, task schedule strategy and implementation of image mosaicking parallelization. Finally, the key problems and future potential research directions for image mosaicking are addressed
Primary biliary cirrhosis associated with rheumatoid arthritis
Primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC) is a slowly progressive autoimmune disease of the liver
which mainly affects women aged between 35 and 45 years.Prolonged liver inflammation can
cause scarring, leading to cirrhosis. Although 50 to 60 percent of patients are asymptomatic at
diagnosis, they will develop symptoms later. PBC can be associated with arthralgia and other
non-hepatic autoimmune diseases, such as Sjögren’s syndrome, sicca syndrome, thyroiditis and
scleroderma. PBC and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have been suggested to coexist in 1.8 to 5.6% of
patients with PBC, but data supporting this association are scarce. We report two cases of such an
association and discuss how to improve threapy
Cause and Prevention Measures of Concrete Cracks during the Construction of Road and Bridge Engineering
Road and bridge engineering is an indispensable part of socialist economic construction in China, whose construction quality signifcantly affects the infrastructure construction level in the whole society. To meet the rapid economic development of various regions, construction scale and quantity of road and bridge engineering have been continuously expanded and increased, therefore, higher requirements for construction quality and construction standard are also presented. During the construction of road and bridge engineering, concrete crack is a key problem which affects the construction quality. In this regard, this paper analyzes cause and prevention measures of concrete cracks during the construction of road and bridge engineering, and hopes to provide construction personnel with valuable references
Analysis of Common Diseases and Construction Treatment Technologies of Road and Bridge Engineering
In recent years, the rapid growth of the number of private cars has greatly increased the traffc pressure, so the quality of roads and bridges should be further improved. The paper expounds the related matters of road and bridge engineering from three aspects. Firstly, it expounds the construction principles of road and bridge engineering, which are regarded as the theoretical basis of follow-up research. Secondly, it analyzes the common diseases of road and bridge engineering, including bridgehead damage, reinforcement corrosion, and subgrade uneven settlement, etc. Finally, it puts forward the construction treatment technology of road and bridge engineering on the basis of the construction principles and taking the common diseases as reference
Roots and Logarithms of Multipliers
By now it is a well-known fact that if is a multiplier for the
Drury-Arveson space , and if there is a such that
for every , then the reciprocal function 1/f is also a multiplier for
. We show that for such an and for every , is
also a multiplier for . We do so by deriving a differentiation formula
for .Moreover, by this formula the same result holds for spaces
of the Besov-Dirichlet type. The same technique also gives us the
result that for a non-vanishing multiplier of , is a
multiplier of if and only if log is bounded on
Spin photonics on chip based on a twinning crystal metamaterial
Two-dimensional photonic circuits with high capacity are essential for a wide
range of applications in next-generation photonic information technology and
optoelectronics. Here we demonstrate a multi-channel spin-dependent photonic
device based on a twinning crystal metamaterial. The structural symmetry and
material symmetry of the twinning crystal metamaterial enable a total of 4
channels carrying different transverse spins because of the spin-momentum
locking. The orientation of the anisotropy controls the propagation direction
of each signal, and the rotation of the E-field with respect to energy flow
determines the spin characteristics during input/output coupling. Leveraging
this mechanism, the spin of an incident beam can be maintained during
propagation on-chip and then delivered back into the free space, offering a new
scheme for metamaterial-based spin-controlled nano-photonic applications
