Analysis of Symbolic Meanings between Chinese and English Food Proverbs from the Perspective of Cultural Linguistics
Each nation has its own characteristic food culture, and cultural inheritance requires language as its carrier. Therefore, proverbs, as part of the treasure of human language, definitely contain profound cultural details. On account of people’s different perceptions of food, some relevant proverbs present different cultural connotations. This paper is to analyze symbolic meanings between Chinese food proverbs and English food proverbs from the perspective of cultural linguistics, and to explore the differences and similarities between Chinese culture and Western culture
Holographic phonons by gauge-axion coupling
In this paper, we show that a simple generalization of the holographic axion
model can realize spontaneous breaking of translational symmetry by considering
a special gauge-axion higher derivative term. The finite real part and
imaginary part of the stress tensor imply that the dual boundary system is a
viscoelastic solid. By calculating quasi-normal modes and making a comparison
with predictions from the elasticity theory, we verify the existence of phonons
and pseudo-phonons, where the latter is realized by introducing a weak explicit
breaking of translational symmetry, in the transverse channel. Finally, we
discuss how the phonon dynamics affects the charge transport.Comment: v3: 29 pages, 11 figures, matching the version published in JHE
4-[(7-FluoroÂquinazolin-4-yl)Âoxy]aniline
In the molÂecule of the title compound, C14H10FN3O, the bicyclic quinazoline system is effectively planar, with a mean deviation from planarity of 0.0140 (3) Å. The quinazoline heterocyclic system and the adjacent benzene ring make a dihedral angle of 85.73 (9)°. Two interÂmolecular N—Hâ‹ŻN hydrogen bonds contribute to the stability of the crystal structure. In addition, a weak π–π stacking interÂaction [centroid–centroid distance = 3.902 (2) Å] is observed
