Formations and dynamics of two-dimensional spinning asymmetric quantum droplets controlled by a PT-symmetric potential

In this paper, vortex solitons are produced for a variety of 2D spinning quantum droplets (QDs) in a PT-symmetric potential, modeled by the amended Gross-Pitaevskii equation with Lee-Huang-Yang corrections. In particular, exact QD states are obtained under certain parameter constraints, providing a guide to finding the respective generic family. In a parameter region of the unbroken PT symmetry, different families of QDs originating from the linear modes are obtained in the form of multipolar and vortex droplets at low and high values of the norm, respectively, and their stability is investigated. In the spinning regime, QDs become asymmetric above a critical rotation frequency, most of them being stable. The effect of the PT -symmetric potential on the spinning and nonspinning QDs is explored by varying the strength of the gain-loss distribution. Generally, spinning QDs trapped in the PT -symmetric potential exhibit asymmetry due to the energy flow affected by the interplay of the gain-loss distribution and rotation. Finally, interactions between spinning or nonspinning QDs are explored, exhibiting elastic collisions under certain conditions.Comment: 18 pages, 10 figures (to be published in Chaos

Global exponential stabilization of language constrained switched linear discrete-time system based on the s-procedure approach

This paper considers global exponential stabilization (GES) of switched linear discrete-time system under language constraint which is generated by non-deterministic finite state automata. A technique in linear matrix inequalities called S-procedure is employed to provide sufficient conditions of GES which are less conservative than the existing Lyapunov-Metzler condition. Moreover, by revising the construction of Lyapunov matrices and the corresponding switching control policy, a more flexible result is obtained such that stabilization path at each moment might be multiple. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results

Fuzzy Weight Cluster-Based Routing Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Cluster-based protocol is a kind of important routing in wireless sensor networks. However, due to the uneven distribution of cluster heads in classical clustering algorithm, some nodes may run out of energy too early, which is not suitable for large-scale wireless sensor networks. In this paper, a distributed clustering algorithm based on fuzzy weighted attributes is put forward to ensure both energy efficiency and extensibility. On the premise of a comprehensive consideration of all attributes, the corresponding weight of each parameter is assigned by using the direct method of fuzzy engineering theory. Then, each node works out property value. These property values will be mapped to the time axis and be triggered by a timer to broadcast cluster headers. At the same time, the radio coverage method is adopted, in order to avoid collisions and to ensure the symmetrical distribution of cluster heads. The aggregated data are forwarded to the sink node in the form of multihop. The simulation results demonstrate that clustering algorithm based on fuzzy weighted attributes has a longer life expectancy and better extensibility than LEACH-like algorithms

Estimation of statistical energy analysis loss factor for fiber reinforced plastics plate of yachts

Loss factor is one of the most significant parameters of Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) which represents the damping loss characteristics of a system and indicates the ability of its vibration energy consumption. In order to estimate it, the power input method (PIM) and the impulse response decay method (IRDM) have become widely used especially when the object of study is made of Fiber Reinforced Plastics (FRP) of which dynamic interaction is really complicated. Numerical simulation is also applied to analyze the loss factor of the spring-damping-system with single degree of freedom (SDOF) using MATLAB to introduce the identification procedure of PIM and IRDM. With the comparison of the methods, the analytical study indicates these techniques are effective for the estimation of loss factor. This paper focuses on an experimental approach to get the SEA loss factor of FRP plate and the test investigations are performed in detail. The requirements and limitations of each method applied are discussed and PIM is a better solution dealing with this kind of the composite material. The loss factor of test specimen is obtained to provide a valuable reference for the prediction and control of vibration and noise of yachts with SEA
