    By measuring the body center of gravity of 939 males and females aged 17-20 years in urban and rural areas when they stand at attention and hold up arms lathered, we found out the height and positions of the total center of gravity of them who were in different heights.     BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS ON THE EFFECT OF WEIGHTLIFTING TRAINING ON WOMEN'S HEIGHT

    SUMMARY - In order to promote the development of weightlifting exercises of woman, the receive-stresses condition of trial lift at each moment were analyzed by using high-speed photographic method, the stresses distributions and the relationship between stresses on bone and lifting weight were studied. In the meantime, we investigated 75 woman weightlifting players from the whole country, the growth capacities of height are compared with the same age section of female, more over the reality heights are contrasted with the high of attainable in the light of heredity genetic factor. The result shows: Although the stresses in depth of trial lift on bone is more than ordinary person, the stimulation of stresses may play an important part in the growth of bone, that is within regular sphere, the stresses can promote the growth of bone. Of 75 woman players through 4 years training, the average growth capacity of height every years is 0.78 cm, which belongs normal sphere and reaches the heights in the light of heredity gene calculating. So weightlifting training doesn't hamper the growth of height, and it may play a positive role in that. Main reference. 1.     Visual Quality Assessment after Network Transmission Incorporating NS2 and Evalvid

    On the basis of Evalvid tool integrated in NS2 (Network Simulator version 2), the paper gets new set of tools, myEvalvid, to establish the simulation and evaluation platform for multimedia transmission. Then the paper investigates the effects of various influence factors when multimedia information is transmitted in the network and the relationships among these factors. Based on the analysis, the paper gets different evaluation models, respectively. In this paper, we study the impact on performance of several basic source and network parameters of video streams, namely, GOP (Group of Pictures) pattern, compression quantitative parameters, packet length, and packet error rate. Simulation results show that different parameters lead to different distortion levels which are calculated according to the reconstruction images at the receiver and the original images. The experimental results show that the video transmission and quality evaluation model we designed can evaluate multimedia transmission performance over complex environment very well

    Frailty and medication adherence among older adult patients with hypertension: a moderated mediation model

    ObjectiveMedication adherence has a critical impact on the well-being of older adult patients with hypertension. As such, the current study aimed to investigate the mediating role of health literacy between frailty and medication adherence and the moderating role of educational level.MethodsThis cross-sectional study included patients admitted to the geriatric unit of a hospital. Participants were interviewed using the four-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale, the Frailty Phenotype Scale, and the Health Literacy Management Scale. Spearman’s correlation coefficients were used to assess the association between variables. Mediation and moderated mediation analyses were performed using Process version 4.1 via Model 4 and 14, respectively.ResultsData from 388 participants were analyzed. The median (IQR [P25–P75]) score for medication adherence was 4.00 (2.00–4.00). Results revealed that after controlling for age, sex, hypertension complication(s) and body mass index, frailty significantly contributed to medication adherence (βtotal −0.236 [95% confidence interval (CI) −0.333 to −0.140]). Medication adherence was influenced by frailty (βdirect −0.192 [95% CI −0.284 to −0.099]) both directly and indirectly through health literacy (βindirect −0.044 [95% CI −0.077 to −0.014]). Educational level moderated the pathway mediated by health literacy; more specifically, the conditional indirect effect between frailty and medication adherence was significant among older adult hypertensive patients with low, intermediate, and high educational levels (effect −0.052 [95% CI −0.092 to −0.106]; effect −0.041 [95% CI −0.071 to −0.012]; effect −0.026 [95% CI −0.051 to −0.006]). The relationship between frailty and medication adherence in older adult patients with hypertension was found to have mediating and moderating effects.ConclusionA moderated mediation model was proposed to investigate the effect of frailty on medication adherence. It was effective in strengthening medication adherence by improving health literacy and reducing frailty. More attention needs to be devoted to older adult patients with hypertension and low educational levels
