Quantum Borcherds-Bozec algebras via semi-derived Ringel-Hall algebras II: braid group actions
Based on the realization of quantum Borcherds-Bozec algebra
and quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebra
via semi-derived Ringel-Hall algebra of a quiver
with loops, we deduce the braid group actions of
introduced by Fan and Tong recently and establish braid group actions for
by applying the BGP reflection functors to
semi-derived Ringel-Hall algebras.Comment: 18 pages, minor changes, accepted by Bulletin of the London

Periodic Radio Variability in NRAO 530: Phase Dispersion Minimization Analysis
In this paper, a periodicity analysis of the radio light curves of the blazar
NRAO 530 at 14.5, 8.0, and 4.8 GHz is presented employing an improved Phase
Dispersion Minimization (PDM) technique. The result, which shows two persistent
periodic components of and years at all three frequencies,
is consistent with the results obtained with the Lomb-Scargle periodogram and
weighted wavelet Z-transform algorithms. The reliability of the derived
periodicities is confirmed by the Monte Carlo numerical simulations which show
a high statistical confidence. (Quasi-)Periodic fluctuations of the radio
luminosity of NRAO 530 might be associated with the oscillations of the
accretion disk triggered by hydrodynamic instabilities of the accreted flow.

Lagrangian Modelling and Motion Stability of Synchronous Generator Power Systems
This paper proposes to analyze the motion stability of synchro-nous generator
power systems using a Lagrangian model derived in the configuration space of
generalized position and speed. In the first place, a Lagrangian model of
synchronous generators is derived based on Lagrangian mechanics. The
generalized potential energy of inductors and generalized kinetic energy of
capacitors are defined. The mechanical and electrical dynamics can be modelled
in a unified manner through constructing a Lagrangian function. Taking the
first benchmark model of subsynchronous oscillation as an example, a Lagragian
model is construct-ed and numerical solution of the model is obtained to
validate the accuracy and effectiveness of the model. Compared with the
traditional EMTP model in PSCAD, the obtained Lagrangian model is able to
accurately describe the electromagnetic transient process of the system.
Moreover, the Lagrangian model is analytical, which enables to analyze the
motion stability of the system using Lyapunov motion stability theory. The
Lagrangian model can not only be used to discuss the power angle stability, but
also used for analyzing the stability of node voltages and frequency. It
provides the feasibility for studying the unified stability of power systems.Comment: 20 pages, 11 figure
Binge Alcohol Exposure Causes Neurobehavioral Deficits and GSK3β Activation in the Hippocampus of Adolescent Rats
Heavy alcohol exposure causes profound damage to the adolescent brain, particularly the hippocampus, which underlie some behavioral deficits. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain inconclusive. The current study sought to determine whether binge alcohol exposure affects the hippocampus-related behaviors and key signaling proteins that may mediate alcohol neurotoxicity in adolescent rats. Alcohol exposure reduced the number of both NeuN-positive and doublecortin-positive cells in the hippocampus. Alcohol also induced neurodegeneration which was confirmed by ultrastructural analysis by electronic microscopy and was accompanied with the activation of microglia. Binge alcohol exposure impaired spatial learning and memory which was evaluated by the Morris water maze. However, alcohol did not alter the spontaneous locomotor activity which was determined by the open field test. GSK3β is a multi-function serine/threonine protein kinase regulating both neuronal survival and neurogenesis and plays an important role in various neurodegenerative disorders. We have previously shown that GSK3β is a key mediator of alcohol-induced neuron apoptosis in the developing brain. We showed here binge alcohol exposure caused GSK3β activation by inducing dephosphorylation at Ser9 without affecting the phosphorylation of Tyr216 in the hippocampus. Thus, GSK3β may be involved in binge alcohol exposure-induced neuronal damage to the adolescent hippocampus
Quantum Stochastic Neural Network and Sentence Classification
Computers has been endowed with a part of human-like intelligence owing to
the rapid development of the artificial intelligence technology represented by
the neural networks. Facing the challenge to make machines more imaginative, we
consider a quantum stochastic neural network (QSNN), and propose a learning
algorithm to update the parameters governing the network evolution. The QSNN
can be applied to a class of classification problems, we investigate its
performance in sentence classification and find that the coherent part of the
quantum evolution can accelerate training, and improve the accuracy of verses
recognition which can be deemed as a quantum enhanced associative memory. In
addition, the coherent QSNN is found more robust against both label noise and
device noise so that it is a more adaptive option for practical implementation
Methodological reporting of randomized controlled trials in major hepato-gastroenterology journals in 2008 and 1998: a comparative study
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>It was still unclear whether the methodological reporting quality of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in major hepato-gastroenterology journals improved after the Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) Statement was revised in 2001.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>RCTs in five major hepato-gastroenterology journals published in 1998 or 2008 were retrieved from MEDLINE using a high sensitivity search method and their reporting quality of methodological details were evaluated based on the CONSORT Statement and Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of interventions. Changes of the methodological reporting quality between 2008 and 1998 were calculated by risk ratios with 95% confidence intervals.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>A total of 107 RCTs published in 2008 and 99 RCTs published in 1998 were found. Compared to those in 1998, the proportion of RCTs that reported sequence generation (RR, 5.70; 95%CI 3.11-10.42), allocation concealment (RR, 4.08; 95%CI 2.25-7.39), sample size calculation (RR, 3.83; 95%CI 2.10-6.98), incomplete outecome data addressed (RR, 1.81; 95%CI, 1.03-3.17), intention-to-treat analyses (RR, 3.04; 95%CI 1.72-5.39) increased in 2008. Blinding and intent-to-treat analysis were reported better in multi-center trials than in single-center trials. The reporting of allocation concealment and blinding were better in industry-sponsored trials than in public-funded trials. Compared with historical studies, the methodological reporting quality improved with time.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Although the reporting of several important methodological aspects improved in 2008 compared with those published in 1998, which may indicate the researchers had increased awareness of and compliance with the revised CONSORT statement, some items were still reported badly. There is much room for future improvement.</p
