Admissibility of Estimated Regression Coefficients Under Generalized Balanced Loss
There are some discussions concerning the admissibility of estimated regression coefficients under the balanced loss function in the general linear model. We study this issue for the generalized linear regression model. First, we propose a generalized weighted balance loss function for the generalized linear model. For the proposed loss function, we study sufficient and necessary conditions for the admissibility of the estimated regression coefficients in two interesting linear estimation classes.
Metal/Semiconductor Hybrid Nanocrystals and Synergistic Photocatalysis Applications
This review focuses on recent research efforts to synthesize metal/semiconductor hybrid nanocrystals, understand and control the photocatalytic applications. First, we summarize the synthesis methods and recent presented metal/seminconductor morphologies, including heterodimer, core/shell, and yolk/shell etc. The metal clusters and nanocrystals deposition on semiconductor micro/nano substrates with well-defined crystal face exposure will be clarified into heterodimer part. The outline of this synthesis part will be the large lattice mismatch directed interface, contact and morphologies evolution. For detailed instructions on each synthesis, the readers are referred to the corresponding literature. Secondly, the recent upcoming photocatalysis applications and research progress of these hybrid nanocrystals will be reviewed, including the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution (water splitting), photo-reduction of CO2 and other newly emerging potential photosynthesis applications of metal/semiconductor hybrid nanocrystals. Finally, we summarize and outlook the future of this topic. From this review, we try to facilitate the understanding and further improvement of current and practical metal/semiconductor hybrid nanocrystals and photocatalysis applications
Demo: Reconfigurable Distributed Antennas and Reflecting Surface (RDARS)-aided Integrated Sensing and Communication System
Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system has been envisioned as a
promising technology to be applied in future applications requiring both
communication and high-accuracy sensing. Different from most research focusing
on theoretical analysis and optimization in the area of ISAC, we implement a
reconfigurable distributed antennas and reflecting surfaces (RDARS)-aided ISAC
system prototype to achieve the dual-functionalities with the communication
signal. A RDARS, composed of programmable elements capable of switching between
reflection mode and connected mode, is introduced to assist in uplink signal
transmission and sensing. The developed RDARS-aided ISAC prototype achieves
reliable user localization without compromising the communication rate,
showcasing its potential for future 6G systems.Comment: 2 pages, 3 figures. Accepted by IEEE/CIC International Conference on

Biocompatibility of hydrophilic silica-coated CdTe quantum dots and magnetic nanoparticles
Fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles exhibit great application prospects in biomedical engineering. Herein, we reported the effects of hydrophilic silica-coated CdTe quantum dots and magnetic nanoparticles (FMNPs) on human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) cells and mice with the aim of investigating their biocompatibility. FMNPs with 150 nm in diameter were prepared, and characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and photoluminescence (PL) spectra and magnetometer. HEK293 cells were cultured with different doses of FMNPs (20, 50, and 100μ g/ml) for 1-4 days. Cell viability and adhesion ability were analyzed by CCK8 method and Western blotting. 30 mice were randomly divided into three groups, and were, respectively, injected via tail vein with 20, 60, and 100 μg FMNPs, and then were, respectively, raised for 1, 7, and 30 days, then their lifespan, important organs, and blood biochemical parameters were analyzed. Results show that the prepared water-soluble FMNPs had high fluorescent and magnetic properties, less than 50 μg/ml of FMNPs exhibited good biocompatibility to HEK293 cells, the cell viability, and adhesion ability were similar to the control HEK293 cells. FMNPs primarily accumulated in those organs such as lung, liver, and spleen. Lung exposed to FMNPs displayed a dose-dependent inflammatory response, blood biochemical parameters such as white blood cell count (WBC), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), displayed significant increase when the FMNPs were injected into mice at dose of 100μg. In conclusion, FMNPs exhibit good biocompatibility to cells under the dose of less than 50 μg/ml, and to mice under the dose of less than 2mg/kg body weight. The FMNPs' biocompatibility must be considered when FMNPs are used for in vivo diagnosis and therapy
Research on Urban Branch Road System Construction under the Perspective of Eco-friendly Traffic
With constant development of urbanization, urban traffic has become the most urgent problem in the contemporary metropolis. Therefore, it is an inevitable trend to positively improve the human-oriented sustainable urban eco-friendly traffic system. The urban branch road constitutes a part of urban road that will be mostly neglected while it plays a positive supportive role to the eco-friendly traffic. This article makes a contrast and analysis to the coordinated relationship between branch road network and eco-friendly traffic in same areas of Germany and Dalian City and concludes the branch road network’s assurance role to the eco-friendly traffic, points out deficiency of branch road network and low density in China. The development of eco-friendly traffic, raises a series of improvement measures to the urban branch road system.

Design of temperature insurance index and risk zonation for single-season rice in response to high-temperature and low-temperature damage: a case study of Jiangsu Province, China.
Disaster insurance is an important tool for achieving sustainable development in modern agriculture. However, in China, the design of such insurance indexes is far from sufficient. In this paper, the single-season rice in Jiangsu Province of China is taken as an example to design the high-temperature damage index in summer and the low-temperature damage index in autumn to constructtheformulacalculatingtheweatheroutputandsingle-seasonriceyieldreduction. Thedaily highest, lowest and average temperatures between 1999 and 2015 are selected as main variables for the temperature disaster index to quantitatively analyze the relationship between the temperature indexandtheyieldreductionrateofthesingle-seasonrice. Thetemperaturedisasterindexcanbeput into the relevant model to obtain the yield reduction rate of the year and determine whether to pay the indemnity. Then, the burn analysis is used to determine the insurance premium rate for all cities in Jiangsu Province under four-level deductibles, and the insurance premium rate can be used for the risk division of the Province. The research provides some insights for the design of agricultural weather insurance products, and the empirical results provide a reference for the design of similar single-season rice temperature index insurance products
