Application for Office Open XML in OS Android
Import 30/10/2012Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem a tvorbou aplikace, sloužící k vytváření, čtení a editaci dokumentů Open Office XML, konkrétně formátu Docx a Xlsx. Aplikace je vyvinuta pro operační systém Android. Účelem bylo vyvinout aplikaci s volně přístupnými zdrojovými kódy. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části je popsán standard OpenXML a programy, vytvořené pro práci s tímto standardem. Praktická část je realizace programu, který je navrhnut a detailně popsán v teoretické části.The diploma thesis deals with a proposal and creation of application which is used to create, read and edit documents Open Office XML, specifically DOCX and XLSX format. The application is developed for the Android operating system. The purpose of this thesis was to develop an application with open source code . The work is consisted of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the OpenXML standard and programs designed to work with this standard. Trapping of null geodesics in slowly rotating spacetimes
Extremely compact objects containing a region of trapped null geodesics could
be of astrophysical relevance due to trapping of neutrinos with consequent
impact on cooling processes or trapping of gravitational waves. These objects
have previously been studied under the assumption of spherical symmetry. In the
present paper, we consider a simple generalization by studying trapping of null
geodesics in the framework of the Hartle-Thorne slow-rotation approximation
taken to first order in the angular velocity, and considering a uniform-density
object with uniform emissivity for the null geodesics. We calculate effective
potentials and escape cones for the null geodesics and how they depend on the
parameters of the spacetimes, and also calculate the "local" and "global"
coefficients of efficiency for the trapping. We demonstrate that due to the
rotation the trapping efficiency is different for co-rotating and retrograde
null geodesics, and that trapping can occur even for , contrary to
what happens in the absence of rotation
An electronically tunable current-mode quadrature oscillator using PCAs
The paper presents a new realization of active RC sinusoidal oscillator with electronically tunable condition and frequency of oscillation. As compared to the class of three resistors, two capacitors (3R-2C) based canonic oscillators, the proposed circuit here uses only two resistors and two capacitors as the passive components and still provides non-interactive tuning laws for the condition of oscillation (CO) and the frequency of oscillation (FO). The proposed circuit employs new bipolar programmable current amplifier (PCA) as the active building block and is capable of simultaneously providing two explicit quadrature current outputs. SPICE simulation results have been included to verify the workability of the circuit as an oscillator and the tuning range of the FO

Lake water acidification and temperature have a lagged effect on the population dynamics of Isoëtes echinospora via offspring recruitment
The aquatic quillwort, Isoëtes echinospora, survived the strong water acidification during 1960s–1990s in Plešné Lake (Bohemian Forest, Central Europe), but failed to reproduce. We studied the relationships between a recent population recovery and an improvement of lake water quality. We used correlation analysis to evaluate lagged seasonal effects of lake water quality on population dynamics during the past decade, and factor analysis to determine the independent factors responsible for population recovery. We also provided a water-quality-based reconstruction of population growth from the beginning of the lake recovery two decades ago, using a partial least squares regression (PLSR) model of population growth. We identified three independent controlling factors: nutrients (nitrate, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, magnesium), stressors (pH, ionic aluminium) and temperature. Of these, nutrient availability did not limit the quillwort growth, but annual mean pH and winter mean concentrations of toxic ionic aluminium influenced population growth through negative effects on sporeling establishment until the age of one year, while cumulative temperature in spring and summer controlled the later plant growth. Thus, water quality in the acidified Plešné Lake mainly controls recruitment success rather than adult survival of Isoëtes echinospora. This study provides the first in situ evidence that the recruitment success, namely the annual increment in the adult quillwort population, indicates the degree of recovery from acidification, however further extensive investigation is required to more accurately quantify, and therefore understand, the relationships between recruitment, water quality and other factors
Modulation of microbial predator-prey dynamics by phosphorus availability: Growth patterns and survival strategies of bacterial phylogenetic clades
We simultaneously studied the impact of top-down (protistan grazing) and bottom-up (phosphorus availability) factors on the numbers and biomasses of bacteria from various phylogenetic lineages, and on their growth and activity parameters in the oligo-mesotrophic Piburger See, Austria. Enhanced grazing resulted in decreased proportions of bacteria with high nucleic acid content (high-NA bacteria) and lower detection rates by FISH. There was a change in the composition of the bacterial assemblage, whereby Betaproteobacteria were heavily grazed while Alphaproteobacteria and Cytophaga—Flavobacterium—Bacteroides were less affected by predators. Changes in bacterial assemblage composition were also apparent in the treatments enriched with phosphorus, and even more pronounced in the incubations in dialysis tubes (allowing relatively free nutrient exchange). Here, Betaproteobacteria became dominant and appeared to act as successful opportunistic competitors for nutrients. In contrast, Actinobacteria did not respond to surplus phosphorus by population growth, and, moreover, maintained their small size, which resulted in a very low biomass contribution. In addition, significant relationships between high-NA bacteria and several bacterial phylogenetic clades were found, indicating an enhanced activity status. By combining several single-cell methods, new insight is gained into the competitive abilities of freshwater bacteria from a variety of phylogenetic lineages under contrasting sets of bottom-up and top-down constraint
