Reproduktivni pokazatelji krava na farmi Poljoprivredno dobro „Rogatica”- Borike (1)
Playing cattle in the modern livestock farming is a very important field of science and very complex primary production phase, where it has a direct impact on the creation of larger quantities of animal products (meat, milk). The aim of the research was to determine the basic reproductive traits in heifers and Simmental cows, which are grown on the farm of Agricultural good "Rogatica" Borike (RS). In the first part of this study analyzed the indicators for the 35 heifers, the first calving. Heifers are achieved average age at first conception of 18.92 months, or 567.6 days, which represents a satisfactory age at first fertilization. The average age of heifers at first calving was 28.41 months or 852 days. The average duration of first pregnancy rates amounted to 284.72 days. The ratio of male to female calves at first calving was 55.56% male: 44.44% female calves. On the basis of the set goal of research and study results, we can conclude that the analyzed reproductive parameters of cows at the farm "Rogatica" satisfactory.Reprodukcija goveda u savremenom stočarstvu predstavlja veoma značajnu oblast nauke i veoma složenu osnovnu fazu proizvodnje, gdje se direktno utiče na stvaranje veće količine animalnih proizvoda (mesa, mlijeka). Cilj istraživanja je bio utvrđivanje osnovnih reproduktivnih osobina kod junica i krava simentalske rase, koje se uzgajaju na farmi Poljoprivrednog dobra „Rogatica“ Borike (RS). U prvom dijelu ovog istraživanja obrađeni su pokazatelji za 35 junica, u prvom telenju. Junice su ostvarile prosječan uzrast pri prvoj oplodnji od 18,92 mjeseci ili 567,6 dana, što predstavlja zadovoljavajući uzrast kod prve oplodnje. Prosječan uzrast junica pri prvom telenju iznosio je 28,41 mjeseci ili 852 dana. Prosječno trajanje prve steonosti je iznosilo 284,72 dana. Odnos muške prema ženskoj teladi kod prvog telenja bio je 55,56% muške : 44,44% ženske teladi. Na osnovu postavljenog cilja istraživanja i dobijenih rezultata ispitivanja, može se zaključiti da su analizirani reproduktivni parametri krava na Poljoprivrednom dobru “Rogatica“ bili zadovoljavajući
Effects of Normobaric Hypoxia on Oculomotor Dynamics of Aviator Students during a Simulated Flight Task
Hypoxia occurs when the body\u27s tissues are unable to obtain adequate oxygen supply and is the primary environmental factor present when pilots are exposed to increasing altitude levels. Hypoxia leads to impaired vision, cognition, and motor control function, which can negatively affect performance and become deadly if a pilot becomes incapacitated. Thus, objective identification of early-onset hypoxia is critical to increase the time of useful consciousness and prevent physiological episodes. Of the few studies utilizing eye-tracking, there is disagreement and mixed results concerning saccadic eye metrics as a means to measure and detect hypoxia. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate saccadic velocity changes driven by acute normobaric hypoxia. Using a noninvasive infrared-based eye-tracking device, we recorded saccadic average peak velocity during flight tasks at simulated altitudes of 0 ft, 12,500 ft, and 19,000 ft. No changes were observed in saccadic average peak velocity among different altitude exposures. As time on task increased, saccadic average peak velocity decreased, suggesting that eye metrics can serve as an indicator of mental fatigue

The Surgical Lips Deformity Corrected with Hyaluronic Fillers: A Case Report
BACKGROUND: Hyaluronic filler is a sterile, biodegradable, viscoelastic, isotonic, transparent injectable gel implant which was approved by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 1996. It is used for face reconstruction and modelling.  CASE PRESENTATION: We report the case of a 40-year-old Serbian woman who presented after surgery of cleft lip, primary and secondary palate. We performed a biphasic therapy; in the first stage in the zone semimucosis lips is initially carried incision scar tissue. The second stage is placed hyaluronan implant.CONCLUSION: This case illustrates that, although hyaluronic fillers used mainly for correction of healthy tissue can be successfully used in the treatment of postoperative scars
Risk of subsequent primary lymphoma in a cohort of 69,460 five-year survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer in Europe: The PanCareSurFup study.
BACKGROUND
Survivors of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) are at risk of developing non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) after treatment; however, the risks of developing subsequent primary lymphomas (SPLs), including HL and NHL, after different types of childhood cancer are unknown. The authors quantified the risk of SPLs using the largest cohort of childhood cancer survivors worldwide.
METHODS
The Pan-European Network for Care of Survivors After Childhood and Adolescent Cancer (PanCare) Survivor Care and Follow-Up Studies (PanCareSurFup) cohort includes 69,460 five-year survivors of childhood cancer, diagnosed during 1940 through 2008, from 12 European countries. Risks of SPLs were quantified by standardized incidence ratios (SIRs) and relative risks (RRs) using multivariable Poisson regression.
RESULTS
Overall, 140 SPLs, including 104 NHLs and 36 HLs, were identified. Survivors were at 60% increased risk of an SPL compared with the general population (SIR, 1.6; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.4-1.9). Survivors were twice as likely to develop NHL (SIR, 2.3; 95% CI, 1.9-2.8), with the greatest risks among survivors of HL (SIR, 7.1; 95% CI, 5.1-10.0), Wilms tumor (SIR, 3.1; 95% CI, 1.7-5.7), leukemia (SIR, 2.8; 95% CI, 1.8-4.4), and bone sarcoma (SIR, 2.7; 95% CI, 1.4-5.4). Treatment with chemotherapy for any cancer doubled the RR of NHL (RR, 2.1; 95% CI, 1.2-3.9), but treatment with radiotherapy did not (RR, 1.2; 95% CI, 0.7-2.0). Survivors were at similar risk of developing a subsequent HL as the general population (SIR, 1.1; 95% CI, 0.8-1.5).
CONCLUSIONS
In addition to HL, the authors show here for the first time that survivors of Wilms tumor, leukemia, and bone sarcoma are at risk of NHL. Survivors and health care professionals should be aware of the risk of NHL in these survivors and in any survivors treated with chemotherapy
Risk of subsequent gliomas and meningiomas among 69,460 5-year survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer in Europe:the PanCareSurFup study
BACKGROUND: Childhood cancer survivors are at risk of subsequent gliomas and meningiomas, but the risks beyond age 40 years are uncertain. We quantified these risks in the largest ever cohort.METHODS: Using data from 69,460 5-year childhood cancer survivors (diagnosed 1940-2008), across Europe, standardized incidence ratios (SIRs) and cumulative incidence were calculated.RESULTS: In total, 279 glioma and 761 meningioma were identified. CNS tumour (SIR: 16.2, 95% CI: 13.7, 19.2) and leukaemia (SIR: 11.2, 95% CI: 8.8, 14.2) survivors were at greatest risk of glioma. The SIR for CNS tumour survivors was still 4.3-fold after age 50 (95% CI: 1.9, 9.6), and for leukaemia survivors still 10.2-fold after age 40 (95% CI: 4.9, 21.4). Following cranial radiotherapy (CRT), the cumulative incidence of a glioma in CNS tumour survivors was 2.7%, 3.7% and 5.0% by ages 40, 50 and 60, respectively, whilst for leukaemia this was 1.2% and 1.7% by ages 40 and 50. The cumulative incidence of a meningioma after CRT in CNS tumour survivors doubled from 5.9% to 12.5% between ages 40 and 60, and in leukaemia survivors increased from 5.8% to 10.2% between ages 40 and 50.DISCUSSION: Clinicians following up survivors should be aware that the substantial risks of meningioma and glioma following CRT are sustained beyond age 40 and be vigilant for symptoms.</p
Motivational modulation of bradykinesia in Parkinson's disease off and on dopaminergic medication.
Motivational influence on bradykinesia in Parkinson's disease may be observed in situations of emotional and physical stress, a phenomenon known as paradoxical kinesis. However, little is known about motivational modulation of movement speed beyond these extreme circumstances. In particular, it is not known if motivational factors affect movement speed by improving movement preparation/initiation or execution (or both) and how this effect relates to the patients' medication state. In the present study, we tested if provision of motivational incentive through monetary reward would speed-up movement initiation and/or execution in Parkinson's disease patients and if this effect depended on dopaminergic medication. We studied the effect of monetary incentive on simple reaction time in 11 Parkinson's disease patients both "off" and "on" dopaminergic medication and in 11 healthy participants. The simple reaction time task was performed across unrewarded and rewarded blocks. The initiation time and movement time were quantified separately. Anticipation errors and long responses were also recorded. The prospect of reward improved initiation times in Parkinson's disease patients both "off" and "on" dopaminergic medication, to a similar extent as in healthy participants. However, for "off" medication, this improvement was associated with increased frequency of anticipation errors, which were eliminated by dopamine replacement. Dopamine replacement had an additional, albeit small effect, on reward-related improvement of movement execution. Motivational strategies are helpful in overcoming bradykinesia in Parkinson's disease. Motivational factors may have a greater effect on bradykinesia when patients are "on" medication, as dopamine appears to be required for overcoming speed-accuracy trade-off and for improvement of movement execution. Thus, medication status should be an important consideration in movement rehabilitation programmes for patients with Parkinson's disease
