Knowledge management plays an essential role on developing efficient systems in educational systems. However, there are different factors influencing the success of knowledge management. In this paper, we review recent advances on implementation of knowledge management (KM) in different areas and discuss why some of KM implementations fail and how they could turn to a successful one. The review focus more on recently published papers in different perspective from the implementation of KM in educational units to KM implementation on project management field

Knowledge management plays an essential role on developing efficient systems in educational systems. However, there are different factors influencing the success of knowledge management. In this paper, we present an empirical study to measure the impact of six cultural based factors including management support, organizational affiliation, employee participation in decision-making, staff welfare organization and establishment, adaptation of new policies and organizational and internal organizational climate on establishment of knowledge management. The proposed study of this paper is implemented in 114 selected educational organizations in city of Tehran, Iran. A questionnaire is designed in Likert scale, it is distributed among experts, and using regressions analysis and structural equation modeling, we have analyzed the data. The results of regression analysis indicate that management support, staff welfare organization and internal organizational climate are among the most important factors while other component did not represent any significance on knowledge management implementation

The Application of Ant Colony Algorithm in Solve the Traveling Salesman Problem with Fuzzy Movement Time among Cities

Traveling salesman problem (TSP) is one of the most well-known combinational optimization problems which recently has been a suitable base to validate different heuristic and Meta heuristic algorithms. Multiple application of this problem in both theoretical and operational field is remarkable to researches. Mate heuristic Optimization algorithm by ant colony is a kind of successful methods which has been used to solve discrete combinational optimization problems recent years. An algorithm based on ant colony optimization is presented in this paper to solve fuzzy traveling salesman problem. Presented algorithm has been programmed and run at C++ environment and results of each run were compared with coded results of Branch and Bound algorithm by Lingo 8.0. Suggested algorithm has resulted successfully in small scale and in the case of large scale has resulted to feasible solution at short time

Improvement of time efficiency in services process by Using Design of Experiments technique in Six-sigma methodology

    No full text
The methodology of six-sigma is one of process improvement’s approaches that its aim is efficiency improvement of process, stability, customers’ satisfaction and cutting deviations such as wastage, reworking and costs. Heretofore different techniques have been introduced for achieving to this aims, so that one of their most efficient is Design of Experiments (DOE). The DOE technique is a scientific method for introducing the main parameters related to a process, where specifies the optimal application of this parameters for increasing the performance and the capacity of process. In this paper, application of the DOE is illustrated in the six-sigma methodology to decrease process time of outsourcing contracts adopting of industrial services engineering of Iran khodro corporation (ISEIKCO) and will be determined the principle parameters which affect on time of this process. Also, statistical analysis will be used for specifying the counteract affect of effective parameters and are proposed an improvement approaches to decrease processing time, where finally the obtained results will confirm the time efficiency improvement of outsourcing process

Determining investment risk in an exchange portfolio by using Value at Risk (VaR) method

    No full text
In optimizing an investment portfolio, the aim is to determine optimal value of per security, where prepares the minimum risk and the maximum return. One of the methods to measure risk of portfolio is Value at Risk (VaR). In the VaR method, risk of securities portfolio is estimated for a time horizon in future. In recent years, volatilities of exchange rate have been led to bankruptcy of many important industries of Iran. Hence in this paper, the investment risk in an exchange portfolio concluding five main exchange in the trades market of Iran is measured by using the VaR method and will be determined the weight optimal value of per security in exchange portfolio through to minimize the risk of investment portfolio

The Assessment of Managers' Competencies by 360-degree Feedback

In recent years 360 degree feedback have been in a growing number of leading firms and it has become a tool for assessing manager competencies and providing feedback them about how they are viewed by direct subordinates peers and in order to changing their behaviors. Its popularity is of problems of traditional assessment systems and advantages of 360 degree feedback. Indeed the 360 degree feedback is designed to enable all the stakeholders in a person’s performance to comment and give feedback: their boss or indirect reports peers and internal or external customers and so on. This empirical research data was collected through specific questionnaire eight competencies including communicating planning organizing controlling leadership decision making & teamwork from four self, boss, direct subordinates and customers. Analyzing data by ANOVA technique shows that there are a significant difference self, boss subordinates and customers perception in managers’ competency assessment. Then assessment results of each source have been grouped by LSD technique: firs group is self-assessment is subordinates and customers assessment and finally third group is assessment

Soft Computing methods for modeling phenomena

    No full text
The purpose of this article is about soft computing and its different methods for modeling phenomena. Soft Computing refers to the evolving collection of methodologies used to build intelligent systems exhibiting human-like reasoning and capable of tackling uncertainty. In this paper, we describe the neural networks approach in soft computing at first. Then, other approaches such as genetic algorithm and machine learning will be described. Since the main goal of building the model is knowledge extraction, finally, we will describe the various methods of knowledge and rule extraction from neural network

A study on relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational indifference through the organizational commitment: A case study of an Iranian firm

    No full text
This research surveys the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational indifference through a commitment. The study first presents theoretical models over the investigation then six hypotheses are developed based on the conceptual model for this opinion. Questionnaire contains 16 questions for organizational indifference and 20 questions for organizational commitment and 23 questions for emotional intelligence. The Cronbach's alpha of organizational indifference questionnaire is 0.938 and the Cronbach's alpha of organizational commitment questionnaire is equal to 0.802 and Emotional Intelligence questionnaire reliability coefficient is 0.961. Both questionnaires maintain sufficient reliability because their Cronbach alphas are more than 0.7. The sample size is chosen according KREJCIE and Morgan table and is equal to 235 people. Kolmongrov – Smirnov test is used for normality of the obtained data. Research hypothesis and the correlations between variables are tested by Spearman correlation test. The results imply approval of all research hypotheses and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational indifference

Customer Relationship Management in Electronic Business to Business Relations

Customer relationship management and business to business model are two major factors in success of modern trade. It is that for development of electronic business in Iran entering to purpose. CRM is a point of view that emphasizes on the cooperation order to create value. This view point which is the result of recent improvement of information technology wants to improve the relationship between the stakeholders to satisfy the requirements of the customer collecting data. Therefore it is important to satisfy the available customer and have a long range relationship with them. Electronic business helps management to keep to relationship customers in the new century which new methods are available distribution in the extended geography and support the distribution marketing. Although these two have different sections but they have sections. Integration of these two elements have very benefits on sale service to the customers and informational support of business process

    No full text
There are several different factors in industrial processes, which may have an impact on final product specifications. In this paper, the nonlinear multi-objective mathematical modeling for the 5 qualitative characteristics of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as one of the most widely used products in petrochemical industry is done by 9 Key parameters affecting the production process. For this purpose, Response Surface Methodology that is the combination of experiments design and statistical tests is applied along with Artificial Neural Network and Metaheuristic algorithms
